Ok Cool. This Island Earth is a pretty classic 50s sci-fi that I was starting to think would never make it to Blu-ray. I think the first time I ever saw it was back in the early 80s during one of those creature feature shows on Saturdays.

Ah, you could be right, it states, New digitally restored HD version (2018), which doesn't necessarily mean a new master. Oh well, wait for the reviews.

Yes! Two wonderful classics from the golden age of science fiction film. I know that TIE is the more "classic" of the two, but MONOLITH is one of my very favorites. MONSTER ON THE CAMPUS is excellent, as well. I'll be adding all three of these to my collection. Thanks to SHOUT! FACTORY, my wish list is shrinking – hope they keep it up!

Man, Shout and Kino are getting these Universal sci-fi flicks out fast. What's left? CULT OF THE COBRA, THE THING THAT WOULDN'T DIE, THE LEECH WOMAN... I'm probably forgetting a few.

I had the pleasure of appearing on Monster Kid Radio when they covered MONSTER ON THE CAMPUS a couple of years ago, if anyone's interested...

I'm a huge fan of all these movies and I actually scratchbuilt a small model of the the ship from THIS ISLAND EARTH.

Time to scale it up and build a big one.

THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN is available on Blu-ray in a very attractive edition from Arrow Video... Region B, though (I've been region-free for years now, so it wasn't a barrier for me).
