Default Blu-Ray Special Features

I have recently brought a Playstation 3 and have started my Blu-Ray collection with Spider-Man 3. I would have liked to buy the trilogy set, but the other two have No Special Features. In fact, a lot of the Blu-Ray DVD's lack the Special Features their DVD counterparts have.
The Fifth Element is another example, it's just a Blu-Ray reboot of the Superbit release(great video and sound quality, but no features). The Blu-Ray format is said to have a lot more room on its DVD's that allow better quality in sound and picture, with enough room for Special Features. Why isn't the companies taking full advantage of this?

*giving benefit of the doubt*

The trend is towards more "special features" on upcoming blu-ray releases, which should make you happy.

I think the perception has been that most HD-philes priorities are with pristine PQ/SQ and good transfers of great movies, rather than special features. That is certainly where I stand. However, if they make other people happy I have no problem with them being on there.

Why does it seem like there's a new thread started about this subject every single day?

its guys like this that make it so hard for new people like me that actually like BD. I personally don't care about special features. i look for higher quality product not "cheaper" prices

dude, you are right. i am thinking of changing to hd dvd for now on. they have better features on all there hd dvd. you could evan choose what favorite scenes you like and you could save them on go back any time you want. to me i think hd dvd is a whole lot better than bluray.
yes, bluray has a good picture but what about the special features. if their is so much space why can't they be like hd dvd's.

i think i made the wrong choice. i should of went the other way, instead of bluray.

Default I think ur a troll but...

Spidey 3 does have that insignificant feature of "bookmarking" a spot on the film to get back there later quickly. The rest will come. You can't want more features instead of better PQ/AQ. IF that's the case, why the HDTV, or the surround system or why even see a movie in the theater. It doesn't make sense.

What a troll..... if you are buying HD media in the first place it is because you are a audio/ videophile of some sort! If you weren't then you would stick to DVD. Being that the PQ/SQ is what separates Blu from DVD, then that is why the special features are given the second spot. I, for one, don't care if there is never another set of special features EVER on another movie. Some people like them I guess but I still think that the PQ and SQ should come first.
