Nope, I just tried. Went through Quidco and got another £2.50.

All 9 series of the X-Files for £97.49 (£10.80 per series). Excellent

No, but thanks for reminding me of that code!

For the last month or so when I buy stuff from them the 5% code gets added automatically.

Given its fox and mostly world wide the most likely thing that will happen is the audio and video be the same world wide just each will get different sub / audio per region.

I was trying to assuage the fears of the OP that they'd be buying something they might find unpalatable. It would be unusual for 20th Century Fox to put out a French only English speaking TV series on Blu-ray. As you and malcy30 rightly pointed out, there's a very high chance that we get one-size fits all or most of Europe with our region B releases.

But I'm with you now anyway. It doesn't matter what everyone else gets. How Zavvi deliver it is the most important thing now!

Sod it, for £100 I'm in at the start. As I said before, even if it drops like a stone later on I won't feel hard done by because £11.11 a season in HD is absolutely incredible value. AND I'm gonna bloody well watch it when I get it too, so I won't feel narked when it gets reduced because I've already had my fun. I don't think I've watched the show on a season by season basis since it first aired (even though I bought the DVDs a couple of times ) and I didn't even get as far as the finale, so now I'm jonesing for some X-Files goodness.

Interesting that the zavvi product description says "this collection, which includes space for the upcoming The X-Files Event Series in 2016, is a must-have for any fan of the truth!"

I'll be watching as soon as it arrives as well.

We were all geared up for a DVD rewatch when news of the German HD airings surfaced. I've been Jonesing since then. Not long to go now!

That is same for everywhere.

Now I am thinking off cancelling the French version and going for Zavvi. Would rather see Amazon UK put something up.

My BSG tin was battered to **** when I got it from zavvi a few years back (stuck it in a Jiffy bag, the geniuses), but I'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt this time. Incidentally that's another TV show which has plummeted in price over the years but I've not looked on jealously at others getting it for £30 because I got full enjoyment out of it when I bought it. So shall it be this time.

They're packaging is decent enough, but on occasion things do arrived with a bashed corner or two. Not really worse than Amazon, but Zavvi's customer service are terrible compared to their big rival.

That's the big-plus, even if I wait and want to sample a few seasons it's going to costs more than that (£11 is the same as the Canadian sets I need to cancel ...) and at the end the day, we might be waiting 2 years for the set to drop down in price. So it's a fantastic deal. All we need now is Amazon to put their pre-order up!

I reckon this set will simply be too large for them to ram in a bag, hopefully forcing them to splurge on some cardboard boxes. Fingers crossed!

That reminds me that I too got BSG (£55) from Zavvi years ago. It was a cardboard box.

If you'd have said 5 years ago that in 5 years time you'd be able to watch Star Trek:TNG, Twin Peaks , Friends and The X Files on BD then I think most people would have laughed themselves stupid.....

Buffy, Angel, DS9 and The West Wing now please!

And not Farscape upscales either. Upscaling VFX is ok, but not across the board.
