I've picked up the following cheap from cex or eBay and these I found pretty good Swamp Shark, Casino Jack Predestination Extraction The Loft All were entertaining and solid, I've no trouble recommending those and happy I've got them. The kidnapping of Freddy Heineken was just ok, some good parts but overall nothing special. I picked up for £4 and am ok with that but I'd be disappointed if I bought day one prices |

There releases definately are not for everyone. And yeah, they made some colossal screw ups with aspect ratio etc.
But... There are some jems in there. A few I really enjoyed recently: Rise of the Krays The Loft Last Knights Dying of the Light Hours I don't mind taking a risk on some of the lower quality movies as as someone as said, you can sometimes find them in a poundland ![]() |

Anyone got the signature release of Mojave that's out today?
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Mojave-Blu-ray/149119/ Just wondering if it's safe to purchase or whether it's another with messed up aspect ratio etc? |

After his last films were released over here through Warner Bros (and distributed/financed by Amazon), Woody Allen’s latest film is now being distributed over here by Signature Entertainment.
https://www.filmstories.co.uk/news/w...-a-uk-release/ So both this and Gilliam’s latest (obviously both controversial figures), are released here by no-name outfits not that many people will keep track of. |

He said Weinstein was a sleazebag but questioned the notion of some actresses not knowing what they were getting into when they visited his hotel room in the evening and were greeted by him in nothing but a dressing gown.
https://www.theguardian.com/film/201...rule-weinstein And, having taken a pasting for it (amusingly from, among others, rentanoutragedquote Judd Apatow, who demands the eternal damnation and immediate blacklisting of other filmmakers without trial, evidence or due process but has refused to condemn his pal James Franco for multiple alleged sexual assaults and himself set his attack dogs on an actress who simply said a film of his that she was in was 'a bit sexist'), did it again a year later: https://www.theguardian.com/film/202...-hunt-backlash Last edited by Aclea; 04-27-2020 at 02:05 PM. |

And the fact virtue signally celebs in twitter tried to claim Gilliam was defending Weinstein was insane, the man avoided working with Weinsteins for decades and The one time he did he despised it so much he went off to make Tideland in the middle of post production on Brothers Grimm so he could cleanse his soul. Gilliam despised Weinstein before it was hip he even co-authored a book saying how awful both Bob and Harvey is.
