Signature also seem to be the latest rights holder for his 90s titles Mighty Aphrodite, Sweet and Lowdown, Celebrity etc. but it seems like they'll never get a physical HD release here. |

Even funnier if you put the subtitles on...
According to dvdcompare.net: "Although the packaging and the menu don't list subtitles, there is a subtitle stream on the disc. It has nothing to do with the film and seems to be the subtitle track for Takashi Miike’s yakuza film First Love (2019)." ![]() http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparison....php?fid=53846 |

The Australian release of Come to Daddy from Umbrella Entertainment (8th July) seems to be the only release worldwide carrying extras.

That's weird, DVDCompare listed the DVD as barebones so the Blu-ray got the extras whereas the DVD got nothing. How long do the interviews last? Besides the odd Signature release like Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Sea Fever, Arctic, The Void, Imperium, Jungle, I've just become used to them being barebones.

Red Carpet:3 mins 7 secs.
Ant Timpson:9 mins 35 secs. It also has the First Love subtitle issue: ![]() Both English audio tracks are also listed as Japanese. First Love really messed Signature up lol Last edited by Sky_Captain; 05-13-2020 at 06:11 PM. |

Maybe they're always late paying the replicating house and this is their way of getting back at them? Either that or a disgruntled employee working out his notice in the mastering stage and leaving some going away presents they'll only discover after he's gone like the infamous Huntley and Palmer biscuit tin with the tin of shit on the garden table and shagging dogs and couples in the background - although the artist in that case is clear he wasn't disgruntled:

plenty of recent releases in Zoom's 2 for Ł10 - First Love, Sea Fever, Come to Daddy, Mr Jones, Domino, Kursk, The Peanut Butter Falcon. I feel bad for anyone who buys any of their titles day of release!

Jiu Jitsu Blu-ray dated for January 4th. Early reviews have been pretty crap, but it’s Nicolas Cage and Tony Jaa so YMMV.
Relic Blu-ray dated for January 18th. It’s stacked! Quote:

Signature are releasing Willy’s Wonderland on Blu-ray on April 19th, Come Away and Synchronic on April 5th, Wrong Turn (remake) on May 3rd.
Hopefully Synchronic (Benson/Moorhead of The Endless) carries over the Well Go extras: Quote:
Persian Lessons, Betrayed, The Auschwitz Escape [Report/Správa] sounds like they could be interesting - all Holocaust films. Last edited by CelestialAgent; 02-16-2021 at 11:41 PM. |

It amazes me that this company is able to get so many interesting indie films and give them the worst presentation on physical media. It wouldn’t have been too difficult for them to have made an name for themselves as a boutique label for new indie cinema had they paid more attention to cover art, subtitles, bonus features and kept the more shlock offerings as DVD only - but they are so clueless and continue to be. I’d only buy a Signature Blu-ray if their’s was the only Blu-ray for the film in the world or if the US Blu-ray is a BD-R etc - and not full price either!

Fellow Blu-ray.com'r and also happen to be the director of the above mentioned Unearth. Any way you get to see the film -- we're happy. But just wanted to add we retained the Blu-ray rights for the film ourselves, b/c little interest for releases with extras, which we grew up on -- and so we'll be working on a stacked release with the original score, 30 mins deleted/extended scenes and more. http://www.unearthmovie.com for those interested in knowing more. Cheers |

Really happy to see titles like this that come out through different distributors end up with a Blu-ray produced independently, like with Fanny Lye Deliver'd. Would love to see this happen more often especially if there's the passion for it or finances allowing!

Extras for Synchronic listed on Amazon, matches the US release. Hopefully the encode is good too.
