Nice to see them releasing Liz and the Blue Bird. Hopefully it uses the home video masters. Surprised they're not releasing S2 first, but at least the US release for that is still in-print (albeit rather pricy).

Extra context for those who are curious:

Ascendance of a Bookworm: Same disc as the US set, therefore using the Crunchyroll translation which had the different naming from the light novel translation.
Cyber City Oedo 808: There will be no replacement scheme for those who bought the previous CE. They are looking into a discount offer instead.
Liz and the Blue Bird: Same disc as the US set.
Tower of God: New UK author. Not the same disc as the Viz & Madman sets.

No improved home video version, no extras

EDIT: Subtitles on Italian BD are optional apparently. Also includes all extras from JP BD except for the audio commentary track. Think I'll import that release someday.

Can anyone confirm for me if the UK Violet Evergarden release has the same region bypass trick that Penguindrum and Future Boy Conan have? Thanks!

I can confirm the “Top Menu” trick will work on the TV series. As for Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll, it’s Region A & B. It appears to just be a clone of the Funimation disc.

Just glad we're getting the Cyber City remaster in the Uk at last

I did import the Angel Cop remaster which turned up this week and I got VERY lucky that the Steelbook was in perfect condition(I usually have bad luck with imported Steelbooks) I don't wanna chance that a 2nd time though with Cyber City and certainly not at near £50 when I'm sure the Anime Limited disc will be half that price.

For those confused by the T&Cs, they did state the discounts will work on Early Birds included in the Xmas sale (the mention was in relation to current EBs before the sale starts).

For Inuyasha - it just takes time on older titles like that especially when unreleased in the UK to date but it's not been forgotten there either!
