Are any of the UK versions of 5 cm per second Voices of a Distant Star, Children Who Chase Lost Voices, The Place Promised in Our Early Days any improvement over the US versions? Same?

Thats what I'm waiting for as well. Usually older releases that aren't on sale is where to look. I'd guess Maquia, Space Dandy, Genius Party, Amanchu! and Fireworks are part of the mystery boxes.

That's the standard discount for the site. They aren't part of the Christmas 2022 Collector's and Ultimate Edition Deals. I'm just guessing anyways, we'll find out soon.

I don't believe we've had items repeat in the mystery boxes, so Amanchu is probably out. It was part of the 2019 Mystery Boxes.

Hopefully we'll get details within a week or so.

• Children Who Chase Lost Voices - Sentai Selects disc
• The Place Promised in Our Early Days - Released before the GKIDS set by a large gap, and does have some issues which I believe were carried over by the ADV UK release. Was one of their first titles which was in development hell for years so I don't blame them 100% for issues occuring.

The question is - to keep the Neon Genesis Evangelion ultimate edition or pair down for this re-release. I love the ultimate edition art (and it is one of my favorite anime series) but I also love the simplicity and minimalism of this edition. The booklet also includes different content from the book included in the ultimate set (which is mostly just credits & an episode guide).

I love the fact that the box art resembles the original Japanese Blu-ray collection.
