Maynard James Keenan? What are you talking about??

I know who he is but don't get why you brought him up of all people.

The cult leader?? I forget the actor's name but he played Thomas Wayne in Batman Begins.

I don't see the resemblance to be honest.

Linus Roache -- he's a far cry from Thomas Wayne in Mandy.

If drugs are required to enjoy a movie then that says a lot about the movie.
"Asked". It's not pronounced as "Axed" or "Aksed". It's pronounced as "Asked". Such intolerable idiocy.

This was okay. Extremely overhyped and nowhere near as crazy or wild as I kept hearing.

This is Mad Max + John Wick + The Void + The NeverEnding Story.

This isn't as violent or graphic as Terrifier or Revenge.
This isn't as crazy and weird as We Are the Flesh.
Nic Cage didn't go as "Cage-y" as he did in Mom & Dad.

Amazing visuals and a killer score though. Definitely the standouts of the film. Could have easily condensed the first hour into about 15-20 minutes. Everything pre
[Show spoiler]wife burning
was just set up that went on for much too long.

I liked the Cheddar Goblin commercial. Reminded me of the Silver Shamrock commercial in Season of the Witch.

Also, the scene with the
[Show spoiler]cult leader trying to seduce Mandy
reminded me a LOT of this movie/movie poster.

Almost every laptop has the ability to be plugged into a TV. I don't know why you're being so stubborn about "only having a 15" laptop screen". Unless you don't have a single TV set in your house either.

Glad I'm not the only one. Maybe I've just seen too many films in my life. I could see people who aren't used to movies like this thinking it's the craziest film they've ever seen...but if you're well versed in this genre, it was actually kind of tame.

Thank you! Somebody gets it! So many people calling this film "heavy metal". Heavy metal is something I think of as super cheesy. This definitely has more of a black metal vibe.

You're missing out on a lot then. I've seen a handful that has more & better practical gore.

How is that hilarious? In a graphically violent horror movie, why is wanting to see more of the gore and violence a "hilarious" gripe?

That implies 2018 has been a bad year for film, which I disagree wholeheartedly with. This year has been absolutely fantastic for film, especially horror. And is only getting better with 3 months left.

I think Mandy and Let the Corpses Tan would make for a great double-header. LTCT is like a shot of adrenaline and Mandy is like an LSD trip.

Mandy should be watched first then LTCT.
