It would be great if 88 or Eureka can release The Killer Meteors, Magnificent Bodyguards
and Shaolin Wooden Men. The more Jackie Chan releases the better imo.

Yeah, I don't see why anybody would want to fork out more money on yet another crappy collection. This very probably has the same flaws as the 1st collection, perhaps even including the problem with the SAR value.

Why is there such a fetish for non-original audio and language with these Nordic releases?

It's possible 'The Killer Meteors', 'Magnificent Bodyguards', and 'Shaolin Wooden Men' have 2K remasters now, but they could also be upscales (like 'The Protector'?)

Wasn't at least Shaolin Wooden Men one of the few titles that were hinted some 2-3 years ago that they are under a restoration process?

Also Shaolin Wooden Men was released in Japan on 2018-11-07, along with The Fearless Hyena, Spiritual Kung Fu and Snake & Crane Arts of Shaolin.

Disappointing if there is no original audio. Hopefully Eureka/88 Films could release Shaolin Wooden Men (with the correct language), and Magnificent Bodyguards

Once again, you get what you pay for. These boxes are sold at roughly 20€ when new and a lot of them can be bought now for 10€. For that kind of prices I'm willing to overlook the technical deficiencies. I already own Hand Of Death in the Eureka John Woo box set and the 88 Films release of Snake and Crane. I did have 88 Films' To Kill With Intrigue also, but sold it, since it really isn't one of Chan's best and for the price of that film alone, I was able to preorder this entire box set.

Well, these films were all filmed silent anyway and dubbed in post production, with the actors very rarely even recording their own dialogue, so no, I don't see it as a huge problem.

Like I said, each to their own, but I see a big difference with original audio language Vs. English dub (many times poor, although sometimes so bad it's somewhat entertaining), i.e. watching the movie as it was intended/released.

If the movies in this set are from actual remasters and not from upscales, I might get this. (Highly doubt it though)

The first collection was all new HD restorations, in fact it's still AFAIK the only release that has the new HD restoration of Armour of God 2!

Some of the movies in this 2nd collection already have been released elsewhere as new HD restorations.

I don't know, but I would be surprised if there's upscales in this collection.

Initially this collection had only 6 movies, then very late they added 7th one, maybe it was so brand new restoration that they didn't know at first if it's going to be ready for this release?

Hopefully someone bought this and is kind enough to report back here.

And NEW FIST OF FURY is complete here. Near all dvd was missing around 40 minutes. Check dvdcompare. I own the box, and watched so long only 3 titles. MAGNIFICENT BODYGUARDS looks so cheaper with the quality, and was originally shot in 3D, some man can watch the 3D effects some places, and the picture was no so sharp as the other titles. BUT off course, not in 2K / 4K as I own also Eureka's TO KILL A INTRIGUE and compared with the nordic. The UK release had much better picture (2K) and colors very good. In the nordic release, the colours looks so falmed as a vhs copy.

I took a quick look at all the movies in the second collection of Jackie Chan movies and it seems that only MAGNIFICENT BODYGUARDS is an older upscaled master with soft picture quality. All the other ones looked very similar to my 88 Films releases of Snake and Crane, Dragon Fist and To Kill With Intrigue, all though I recently sold my TKWI, cause it's not one of Chan's best and I was practically able to buy this new box set with the price I got from that one movie. Can't post screencaps.

Are you absolutely sure that it is an upscale? Or could the "3D-ness" be the cause of the blurriness?
