I have two (expensive) shipments from Zavvi still on the way. Hopefully they both arrive safe and sound as I doubt they will offer any replacements at this point. Well, it was fun while it lasted.

Two more thoughts re. zavvi not shipping movies internationally anymore.

If I was red carpet member, I'd kindly ask them to "please" refund me the according annual fee. And while I don't think it will affect Arrow, it might affect zavvi exclusive Arrow releases of course. And I won't be amused if it's something I want - like an original art release.

In the past few weeks I’ve had to cancel my orders for Cool Hand Luke, Maltese Falcon, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and today the Superman steelbook set and order from Amazon as Zavvi did not dispatch any of them or process the payment.

Normally they are really early with processing the payments and dispatching the items so this has been really strange.

Anyone else had issues recently with their orders?

I find with with pre-orders they sometimes tell you the card details failed a day before, and usually plugging the same card details in again does the trick.

Yeah, they've not even been applying for the payments.

Buy alot from Zavvi. It’s only in the last couple of weeks that they've not been fulfilling the orders.

Are zavvi ever opening orders back for international customers or have they gone full brexit. Im an Irish customer, they have exclusive U.K. and Irish rights to steelbooks which I can no longer get. It’s frustrating

Both Zavvi's and Arrow's IOSS code is now out of date, probably because they are under the same company. When i asked about this from Zavvi's customer service and to give a tax rebate i got their usually vague-we-will-tire-you-until-you-give-up -response.

Now on the 4th preorder that I've cancelled and gone to Amazon because Zavvi don't have stock. Later I think I'll go though and cancel everything that isn't an exclusive. I don't know what the hell's going on over there.

They sent me someone else's order and I probably got there's, I spent 3 weeks and numerous messages trying to explain this to Zavvi Customer Service without success, in the end I just gave up and ordered from someone else - life is too short for this .....

It's also the reason why EverthingBlu who done some SteelBooks releases for Zavvi will be back as a independept retailer soon

In August 2023, Zavvi moved away from THG which saw a restructure. This led the EverythingBlu team to return back to being an independent retailer and continuing to produce the highest quality of home entertainment products.




August 2023 THG confirmed the sale of its OnDemand division, including Zavvi, to its existing leadership team as ZavviGroup Ltd, with financial backing from investment firm Gordon Brothers.
Note Gordon Brothers Group is a liquidation and restructuring firm

I think it's probably the beginning of the end for Zavvi.

Will be interesting if they keep ownership of Arrow or try and sell it as it doesn’t really fit with the rest of the new business which including Zavvi is direct to consumer retail rather than making product for themselves or other retailers.

A problem may be finding a buying for Arrow as didn't the previous owners want to sell out hence sale to Zavvi.
