Well im almost done with all of the code geass set im at disc 2 of R2 and have been just watching the new 5.1 Japanese track which is really good with nice separation between all the channels. Is there going to be a mass recall perhaps? meh.

Thank you for your inquiry. We have analyzed the English audio track and confirmed that it is indeed a stereo mix, not a mono mix. The English track for the Code Geass release uses the same mix that was previously released in our territory.

While in general I dislike Ponycan's releases, at least they acknowledged rather quickly that Euphonium incorrectly had a mono mix on vol. 1 and instated a replacement program. Sentai did the same with Kids on the Slope IIRC. SMH Funimation.

Well I responded to Funi with some info from Fandompost/here. It looks like they are trying to sweep it under the rug though. I just got to R2 myself and honestly, I can't really tell the difference with just my TV speakers in my room. I am not a big audiophile so I can't really comment on the quality.

This is one of the worries with FUNi taking on so many shows now, especially more so with how they're distributing CR's releases now. There will be less time or possibly no time at all for QC. Remember when Sentai had all those very problematic BDs from 2012-2013? Part of that was only one person doing all the authoring (DLW, he no longer authors BDs, they still have only one person do them), but another was they were pushing so much out at once, there wasn't very much time for QC. Now that they're not releasing as much anymore, their quality has gone up. What I've seen from Sentai at least video-quality-wise lately has been pretty solid based on the caps I've seen from Sensuifu.

We've also already seen FUNi have some big issues with their simulcasts in seasons they grabbed many shows that they later had to fix, many of which dealt with the audio. They uploaded episode 3 of Snow White with the Red Hair with audio from episode 4 which was next week's episode. They uploaded Seraph of the End S2 episode 10 with the audio track used for dubbing, so there was no dialogue. They had audio syncing issues on a Broadcast Dub episode of Netoge. They also had an audio mix issue on The Heroic Legend of Arslan S2 episode 2.
