Has that been confirmed? 4K disc rentals/sales were only ever available in 15 (major) markets stateside. |

That, I did notice. I remember even before I went 4K - I snagged quite a few 4K discs to build up my collection. The majority were all titles from WB, with some from Paramount. Looks like outside of Snake Eyes, now, it's just a couple of WB titles and No Time To Die. |

The Batman is now showing up as $3.99 at the boxes near me. Side note: the future of 4K at Red Box seems bleak since there are only 3 titles available now.

Speaking of The Batman in 4K at Redbox, I bought it at $5.99 shortly after release because I wanted an untouched copy (and got it.) I used a $5 Redbox gift card from Kellogg's Rewards program, and swiped/tapped my credit card like normal and got my disc for a grand total of $1.51
Sounds pretty good so far right? Well the wheels came off. I had a pending charge on my credit card for the remaining $1.51, then it disappeared. I called Redbox and the CSR said it will be fine and they'll bill my card for that remaining balance. It never charged. I called Redbox again and a new CSR said they're waiting on an authorization on my credit card. This was 2 months ago. The transaction history still shows the transaction as "Open" and I'm not sure if Redbox will ever charge my card for the remaining balance because I'm still using up my Perks Points balance. I figure I'll either: get charged extra the next time I use the credit card, or Redbox won't let me be a customer anymore. ![]() Moral of the story: if you're thinking of using a Redbox gift card - don't. |
