Canada Se7en

Has anybody heard anything on the New Line release of Se7en. It has to be one of the best movies I have ever seen. Plus due to the dark nature of the video in Se7en it would look a lot better in HD, oh yeah I almost forgot the DTS MA 7.1 lossless soundtrack, how could I do that?

Default "Seven" USA release date??

I know "Seven" is being released in Canada in March , and I'm thinking about ordering. Anyone have a clue when this superb film will be released in the States?

I'm considering the same thing due to the lack of rumors/gossip about this title in the US. The tough question I find myself not being able to answer is this: if I buy the Canadian import, will I double-dip when the US release hits? I think I would so I've held off on getting Sin City, From Dusk Till Dawn, and Nightmare On Elm Street from Canada. I think the same goes for Se7en as well.

why do you have to double-dip? I think Canada version will be as same as US version?

The movie itself may be the same but there has been a history of Candian releases being completely striped of all the extras. I could care less about the extras so I have no problem importing from Canada, but some people really want the extras so it does turn into a possible double dip situation for them.

Exactly. The Canada version will probably be completely barebones. US won't be.

For anyone in NYC (or near it), there will be a screening at midnight on Friday and Saturday this weekend at the Sunshine cinemas.

I think it's possible that we could see this in the U.S. to coincide with Fincher's Benjamin Button hitting DVD/BD in the next few months....

I wish you were right but if that's true then why not also give us Fight Club which is the other Fincher/Pitt movie. I have a feeling that Se7en is going to be one of these titles that lingers for a bit in much the same way that Sin City and From Dusk Till Dawn have.

I'm really torn on whether I will buy the Canadian version since I would like some special features. Usually the special features mean little but this is one of my favorite movies.

I can't wait for this release. Hopefully, sooner than later. Fightclub, Se7en, The Curious Case will be Finchers finest on BLU.

nope, nothing yet. If you must have the movie now, just import it from Amazon.ca

it's an Alliance release so you can count two things: the PQ/AQ to be very, very good/borderline great, and for the disc to be barebones as hell. If you dont care about extras, import away. Thats what I'm doing.

In this case, I would buy the import as long as it has solid PQ/AQ. It's cheap and I can always re-sell on eBay to get a few dollars towards the US disc when it hits. Waiting for a review (hopefully DVDBeaver).

I am still a bit weary of getting the import because I do want the extras. I have the original DVD with the special journal case and all and I was hoping for something similar for this blu-ray. It's just pissing me off that there is no info regarding the US version because then I would know if they're even going to include the extras on the US version of the blu.

I want this movie in blu sooooo bad.
