Yes, that's John Wick's hair style and beard. I wonder if Alan Wake will get bullet-time in this Remedy made game, along the lines of their earliest game.
There are guns in this game against the monsters after all.

I like the setting of this sequel, which will offer some city setting too, so not just out in the forests. Plus new monsters, not just shadow people.

Honestly, I think it looks great. The first one is one of my favorites; just has such a charm about it. It's odd and quirky and imperfect, but in all the best ways, I think. I loved the setting- the town and its characters felt so alive and so specific, and it seems like they've retained that here, which is nice to see. Seems like they've upped the threat of the Taken as well. It looks like a smoother version of the first, which is nice.

I'm still holding out hope for a physical version. I don't mind waiting until after the initial release for either a Limited Run release or an exclusive or whatever. Of course, if one never gets released, I'll get it digitally, but I'll be patient in the meantime.

Alan Wake 2 director Sam Lake has confirmed that the long-awaited sequel will pave the way for Remedy Entertainment's next game, Control 2. In recent years, Remedy has started to tie many of its various franchises together in what is being called the Remedy Connected Universe. For instance, Control's AWE DLC ended up centering around many of the events found in Alan Wake and set up many of the story beats that would be seen in the forthcoming sequel. Now, Remedy has verified that it will be doing a similar thing when it comes to Control 2.

In an interview with Wccftech, Sam Lake opened up briefly about the plans that Remedy has for Control 2 and how it will be planting seeds for that game in Alan Wake 2.
