Update ~ My new cables came in on Wednesday & have started rewiring & adding for the active pro crossover which is do for delivery on Monday

My Tactile transducer got to town last night So I should get that today Come Monday I will have everything hooked up/ mounted & ready to hook the crossover up & go with a movie & start shaking things up some

I admit you are inspiring me to re-set up my Buttkicker Brent......or at least finding a better way to set it up under my seating.......good luck with this little project, as it shouldn't take long to get it all set up.

John ~ I bet there is some way to attach your Transducer to the chair. Just look at the underneath & think about it & you will see a way to do it !

You can send me a round trip ticket & I will come do it for you

EDIT ~ I see how big it is & how it would be a problem ! You should ask Big Daddy if you could get a Transducer like him & use it instead of the one you have that is so big ?

I have thought about building a small platform to put under both chairs and then simply attach the transducer to the platform. I will also consider a second transducer, as my amp can handle 2 without any additional attachment needed,plus up to 4 with the additional attachment. The buttkicker amp can kick out 1900 watts at just 2 ohms or 1000 watts at 4 ohms, so it is a powerhouse! That may be the route I go with eventually, but aesthetically, this way will have to be granted the WAF.

One of the nicest things about the Clark Tactile Transducers is that they are pretty flat and can be installed under the sofa without having to raise the legs too much.

Do not forget that in situations where you cannot fit one under the chair or sofa, Home Depot and Lowes become your friends.

Fors, you have a bar next to the Lowes near your house. What other excuse do you need?

You can connect it to your receiver's sub output and run it at the same frequency as your other subwoofers. It can accept frequencies up to 15,000Hz +. The only problem is that you will not be able to control its volume independently. Make sure you do not turn the receiver's master volume too high initially. Check the transducer's loudness. You want to make sure it is not too loud and distracting and at the same time you do not want to damage it.

Thank You Big Daddy for letting me know Tomorrow when I install it I will give it a try & be vary careful until Monday when the Active crossover arrives to hook up to it .

Yes ~ I watched Robin Hood Yesterday . Was quite impressed of it at a lower volume , Could not turn it up because Jenn was home next door. It was light but noticeable. Can't wait for the active crossover to get here Monday so I can play with turning the vibration up or down to get a better feel of it

My recommendation to all people who plan to use any type of Bass Shaker, Buttkicker, or Transducer is to use an amplifier that has adjustable gain control because if the level is set too high, the vibration in the seat will become very distracting and difficult to concentrate on the movie. If your amplifier does not have an adjustable level control, you can buy an active pro crossover/volume controller from Amazon for around $60 to $100.

The cheapest I have seen is the Vidsonix for less than $30. You can buy it directly from the manufacture or from their Ebay store

The Vidsonix is a mono passive controller and has only TRS connectors. For subwoofers, you only need mono. You also need RCA to TRS adapters. The Pyle and Pyramid crossover/volume controllers need power and are more expensive, but they are stereo and have RCA connectors.

Yes, you can use one of those, but they are made for in-wall speakers. They are also available at places like Home/Depot/Lowes and online. Unfortunately, attaching them to an external amplifier and subwoofer may not be as easy. Moreover, their power ratings may not be sufficient and they don't have the crossovers if you need one.

I got my Active Crossover tonight at 7:30 delivered by UPS Was hoping it would be earlier I hooked it up & threw in Terminator Salvation & watched about 15 minutes probably a little louder then I should have Even at a low volume level on the sound system, being able to adjust the amount of vibration with the active crossover is great. At first without the crossover I thought I might have to move the Transducer to a better spot But I know I don't have to now

This is most definitely a must have in a HT IMO

I just finished Matrix 1 with my aura pro, go watch the end sequence where he stops the bullets and bend the walls, the shaker SHINES so much in this sequence, CRAZYYYY
