Add me to the group that likes Prometheus, dumb characters and all.

It's not like Alien and Blade Runner were universally acclaimed when they came out; reviews back then were mixed. I predict Prometheus is going through the same evolution; people gripe about it now, but in ten years, it might be considered a classic.

I've never seen Titanic.

Another UO of mine: Tomorrow Never Dies is one of the best Bond movies.

And you guys are making me want to see Prometheus again! I think I'll check it out again soon...

Christopher Nolan is the most overrated director in the history of cinema. He has mad exactly one good movie. His first, Following.

Our plan is working about Promeheus-I saw it was on HBO2 last night and watched some of it in between periods of the CHi-DET hockey game.

Tony Scott was a better filmmaker (especially as of late) than Ridley Scott.

I'm not quite able to label it one of the worst movies of all time but I do think it sucked a lot.

Ridley's one of my favorite living directors but I've seen you praise Tony quite a bit so I understand where you're coming from. And the last movie of his elder brother's that I loved was Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut (theatrical sucks). That was way back in 2005.

Anyway, I'm watching Enemy of the State right now.

That's a bold statement right there.

Anne Hathaway was terrible as Catwoman in TDKR.

"It was more accurate to the characteristics of comic book Catwoman than Batman Returns". I know, I'm talking about the performance, not the writing. (Like the writing was that great to begin with)

Nice.

Of course Tony Scott hasn't made a film as great as Blade Runner or Alien, but you line up their films and I think Tony's have been much more successful. Especially so when you consider that most of Ridley's recent films have been about BIG ISSUES and try to make sense of the world, but come up very short.

I still really like Ridley, I think I own just about all of the BluRay releases of his films, but for my money, the last twenty years of Tony's career was gold.

Kar Wai Wong makes boring, repetitive, pointless, and annoying films.
