Yea I know, I have actually built a sub box many years ago so was considering biulding another one for this.

Those seem to be really nice, I'll upgrade my fronts first. I use my room for 30% movies, 50% TV, 15% games, and 5% music.

I realized that most of the links in the original post were not working. I fixed the problem. Sorry about this.

My son has the same passive DBX 15 inch sub in his system (he's got to get his power amp repaired though).

I love those super tweeters. At the beginning I thought it was just Placebo that made me think that the sound has improved, but Mrs. Big Daddy tells me that she hears an improvement. Maybe, I have done a good job of brainwashing her.

Big Daddy Subwoofer Manufacturing Company is ready to take your orders. I can build you a 21" subwoofer. I am sure your wife will like it. Most probably she will throw you out of the house.

What's the internal volume of your enclosures? My 2 15inch sub enclosures have a 7.05 ft internal volume (they weigh about 250 pounds each).

It is a little less than 2 cubic feet.

Have you had your hearing checked by an audiologist lately?

How much is your electricity bill?

May I have your credit card information?

Maybe you should build yourself one. It may be cheaper and a lot more satisfying. Believe me, you will love your creation more than any other speaker in your home theater.

How about this:

I made that and love it. I may be a bit biased towards it though.

Edit: Look down a few posts to see rotated pic...

It looks nice. You should delete the ED thread and start a new Driver King Subwoofer thread. I'll buy one.

Incidentally, use the Windows Picture and Fax viewer, rotate the picture, and save it again so that the picture will be upside down instead of side ways.

You have good wood in Oregon. Use it. After you are finished, you should post the pictures.

Thanks. I should post an excursion video of it. By the way, I used 3/4" thick MDF for it and an old Onkyo sub amp for it. Works like a charm.

Here are the plans to make one. I changed the design on mine for aesthetics but didn't sacrifice any quality by doing it.
