Default Your thoughts on the swine flu outbreak?

A new mutation of the Flu has broken out in the Mexico city area. According to experts it is becoming a pandemic and a dangerous one, so far 60 people dead. I call it Captain's Trip cause that's what Stephen King called something similar in his book "The Stand".

Yep. Sorry I read it a long time ago and I forgot that kind of detail.
Point is, this one seems serious according to the news.

Yeah, I saw on the news and I was like; "S***!" Because you know sooner or later, an illegal immigrant is going to crossover the border with it and spread it around like the f***in' sex-TD that it is.

The flu isn't an STD?

Too late for that. It's already within the US. (Though the US cases have reportedly recovered).

I know it isn't, I was using it as an analogy or whatever that word is.

One person's poor human being is another person's criminal.

So is it too late to begin customizing my 75 Firebird Mad Max style?

Also I have the leather jacket, but where do you buy leather pants? Do they chafe?

Actually that was due to the drug war/violence and kidnapping problems going on there.

There was never (and I still hasn't AFAIK) been a travel ban from/to Mexico so that's the reason it's showing up here. The problem is in Mexico around the capitol not the boarder towns (at least not yet).

Just the top links on the Drudge report:
  • JANET: EVENTS DO NOT WARRANT TESTING OF PLANE PASSENGERS FROM MEXICO...
  • ORDERS RELEASE: 25% OF TAMIFLU/RELENZA STOCKPILES...
  • 'NO EVIDENCE' OF BIO-TERROR...
  • CDC RECOMMENDS PLANNING FOR SCHOOL CLOSURES...
  • Positive: NYC students...
  • WHO: Swine flu could mutate to 'more dangerous' strain...
  • Flu fears prompt quarantine plans...
  • Mexico City residents staying at home...
  • CLOSE TO 1,200 SUSPECTED CASES...
  • Russia Suspends Imports of Meat From Mexico, Some U.S. States...
  • New swine flu likely widespread...
  • Asia on alert...
  • 10 New Zealand students in scare...
  • Mideast First: Israeli man hospitalized on suspicions...
  • 4 SWINE FLU CASES CONFIRMED IN CANADA...
  • Spain announces 3 suspected cases...

It's now global.

I'm not sure how guns and similar equipment can deal with a biological virus, but you're the expert I guess.

True but How are guns going to help you fight the virus in that apocalyptic world is what I don't understand.

You obviously have a Blu-ray player. Take a look at 28 Days/Weeks Later or Doomsday. Guns came in pretty handy for them. And not one person took a shot at the virus.
