Default Problem with Matrix sound (Warner and Dreamworks)

My copy of Batman Begins, The Matrix, and certain Dreamworks Blu-rays will not play Dolby TrueHD. I can select that audio, but my receiver always displays Dolby Digital. When I switch back and forth between the two- it's clear that I'm listening to Dolby Digital- not TrueHD.

I'm running a Denon 2808 receiver and a Denon 2500 Blu-ray. Is this a common problem? Thanks for any help.

Yup- via HDMI. No issues with other movies. The only problems are with Batman Begins, The Matrix, Madagascar 2 and another Dreamworks that I can't remember.

Default Dolby True-Hd problems

Just wanted to let you know that I have had the same problem with Batman begins and The Matrix. I also own a Denon Bd player and receiver.I have noticed however that once chosen, the sound is indeed Dolby True-hd and not dolby digital. The display in my receiver shows Dolby Digital but the bd player shows Dolby True-hd and if you hear it carefully, you are able to hear the difference. Good luck.

Hmmm- I heard a difference with Batman, but not with Matrix.

Even stranger- I swear that Batman used to read as TrueHD, and then it stopped.

Out of curiousity- Have you noticed any problems with Pan's Labyrinth not decoding 7.1? Mine used to, but now it only reads 6.1. I'm beginning to think it's a Denon problem.

Thanks for the replies.
