I have done that before (hours since it went out of stock rather than days or weeks, though) and it arrived. In fact, I would recommend adding a title you're unsure about to your basket just in case you need to try a post-OOS purchase. Does require removing and re-adding others though, so a little bit of a faff...

I've had one where I got the item (The Young Master LE, just had to wait a couple of weeks) and one that they cancelled (Walkabout LE).

Twice here -- also fulfilled. One was the Doctor Who S8 LE which I didn't order from Zavvi until at least 2-3 weeks after it was listed SOLD OUT on hte site.

I've started putting certain titles in not sure about int he cart just for this reason. Unfortunately I didn't think to do this with the Arrow True Romance Dlx set

When IOSS label is on the parcel that means vat has been paid

Your local postal carrier/courier should not be looking for Vat payment from you if value of goods is €150 or less when parcel list IOSS

IOSS payment to revenue is done on a monthly basis

I gather you have tracked parcel and are based in a EU country
Tracking will always list ARRIVED IN COUNTRY / NON EU PRESENTED TO CUSTOMS

It will then change at some stage to IN TRANSIT - HUB SCAN and then later out for delivery

It can take a few days before tracking will update to Hub Scan - Out for delivery depending on the local courier who is delivering your parcel


On Zavvi order tracking you will have 2 tracking numbers
One is for Fedex (FIC Tracking Number) and the other is for your local courier (Tracking Number)
Click view more tracking to see if that has any tracking info using the other tracking number listed beside (Tracking Number) it likely will start with ISxxxxxxxxx
View more tracking wont show any info until it's scanned by your local courier

At least all packages that I received had no CN 22 customs declaration, which lists EORI number and IOSS importer ID. Zavvi seem to send these data only electronically along with the package.

How do you get Zavvi to adjust for local vat on checkout? It's not changing no matter the delivery country or domain used.

You don't. You pay UK VAT and if your local VAT is lower then you're out of luck. I get things cheaper from Zavvi as my local VAT is higher. They will cover the difference or keep the change.

I just ordered a Blu-ray film yesterday and "Standard shipping" is now free for Sweden. It still seems free if I add some more stuff. That wasn't the case in July. I wonder if this is permanent.

It's higher. I'm not bothered about paying higher VAT, but the item getting stuck in customs/processing fees.

What's all the chat on this thread about Zavvi being part of IOSS then, if they aren't VAT adjusting?

They are part of IOSS. They will just either cover the difference or keep the change in VAT when you purchase something. IOSS doesn't mean VAT adjustments. It just means that Zavvi will have to pay forward whatever your countries' VAT is. This will work out great for some and less good for others. And it will probably somewhat even out for Zavvi so they don't care to implement VAT adjustment in their checkout system.

Have to say, Zavvi have been rather slow in dispatching my most recent order. 3 UHDs in the 3 for £30 offer, ordered last Friday, and not a sausage.

Very rarely order from them nowadays, and I can now remember why.

First order from me for around two years. A week in no sign of my order being shipped.
Probably be two years again before I bother again if ever.
I've had quicker deliveries from WOW.

I ordered 4K blu-rays from zavvi.ie on 30th August. Contacted them and they told there is some issue dispatching my order and they will refund the order if it can't be dispatched. Must say I'm going to be quite dissappointed if that happens as those deals are gone already.

IOSS label AND IOSS ID and the latter is missing. Zavvi doesn't include their IOSS number on the declaration and because of that my customs office always charges me VAT. I spoke with them about this and that's a hard rule they apparently must follow.
