Yeah I had the same - think it might effectively be their way of saying it’s in progress / being processed, I had the same thing the other day then it switched to completed a day or so after - my copy just turned up today.

Despatch email just now - so, Thursday?

Last time I saw this was on Ch4. JC season, I think. I remember Project A was on too.

Ooh just checked and same here! Having only really got into Jackie over the past year or so, I've never seen this, only the first 2. But all that I've read about it sounds like something I can't wait to watch!

88 Films won't be putting two full cuts on to one UHD, they will be using seamless branching.

Does anyone know if the 88 Films UHD is a combo set with the Blu ray? I see it listed as two discs, but I wasn't sure if the second disc was for Supercop US cut or something. The Blu Ray version is listed as one disc. I'm trying to figure out which version to order, I also need the normal Blu Ray, so do I grab both or just the UHD set?

I'm pretty sure that 88 Films did an instagram post confirming that the UHDs would include a bluray too, both Supercop and Dragons Forever.

I'm hoping they include BDs with their UHD releases of both of Deodato's Video Nasties. Would save them money in the long run doing it that way.

Got my BD copy of SuperCop yesterday. Beyond ecstatic on this release! 5*****. Beautiful slipcover, fantastic reversible artwork, the PQ is far better than I hoped. I also watched the Cantonese atmos soundtrack. Purists may never listen to it, but I thought it was freaking fantastic, with really effect use of the surround speakers. Subtitles seemed good (at least to me). Started to watch the interviews and pleasantly surprised to see the archival ones in HD (didn't expect that). Fantastic interview with Michelle Yeoh. Haven't delved into the commentaries yet, but doubt I will be disappointed.

there is no booklet. just a very small pamphlet (12 pages?). It is actually pretty decent, imho. Could have done without the cards, but they were nice.

While I haven't finished all the supplements, this release has surpassed my expectations so far..

Got the 4K PS trilogy set, but is there anything substantially different on the upcoming 88 Films release of PS3 that would make it worth getting?

A whole bunch of new extras. Full spec not revealed yet, but they've teased new interviews with Stanley Tong plus other crew members.

Would have be for the Japanese cut of PS1 and some alternative artwork

I assume the Export cut (95:31) of the 2nd film is the same as the Original UK Version (95:52) of said film? if so then why didn't Eureka include the Japanese version of the first film on the UHD?

Yeah I would think that they are the same version. They wasnt supposed to include the japanese version on the BD release, but they did, and got in trouble for it.

I wonder what Fortune Star have against the Japanese Police Story 1 and the theatrical Police Story 2.

Yes, I believe it was reconstructed from the HK Theatrical Cut. It's the version I watched, as I think it's the best edit. No flab. Also, both it and the TC look better than the fugly Extended Cut, even if it is 4K. Really appreciate the effort to re-edit the Cantonese track and subs for this version.

Finally had a chance to watch this, hadn’t seen it in many years & even then it was the US cut. Really enjoyed it. I need to marathon all 3 PS movies sometime soon.

Probably nothing. The Japanese Police Story is for Japan and afaik they think that releasing it in UK/Europe would hurt their sales. I dont know why they have chosen the extended version of Police Story 2 to be the primary version. They might have just thought the longer the better.

My copy arrived today. Yet to spin the disc. Having quickly opened it up, I do like the facsimile lobby cards which to me, remind me of oversized Garbage Pail Kids bubble gum cards. I'd be happy if they pursued this route for future releases. Now to find a decent way to display and hold these in a folder... since the Ultra Pro sleeves won't accommodate for their size.
