Seems like they're just spacing them out better, I felt it was weird they'd do two at a time.

Excellent, it's not Dragon Ball Z without filler.

One of the main reasons I wasn't interested in Kai, alongside with the new voice actors for some characters, namely Gohan and Frieza.

They just didn't sound right...

Colleen Clinkenbeard is a good voice actress, but yeah her being Gohan just feels off to me for some reason than Stephanie Nadolny.

Christopher Ayres as Frieza does work for me, but then again so did Linda Young. Oddly enough, Linda did play as Frieza in the 1st episode of Kai even if it was brief.

But yes the DBZ Level sets are the same English dub voice actors as you would have heard on Cartoon Network since it's the same episodes with even the episodes that were cut out when the Ocean Group Canadian did the 1st 2 seasons for America until Funimation finally was able to use their Texas voice cast when they created those Ultimate Uncut Speical Edition dvds which also aired on Cartoon Network.

Its because her Gohan sounds like a little girl, instead of a little boy.

Thats not true. When you were a kid you could tell the difference between a girls voice and a boys voice your age. I still can, thats why her Gohan sound weird.

Well, Nozawa's Gohan sounds like a girl too, but is still the most endearing version of the character anyways. Dub fans seem to think if a character is male, he has to sound like it.

It is just a closed minded and unimaginative way of thinking.

The restoration team should have had a good chunk done before they even announced it. Besides, if they planned on having it out in March, I doubt they'd underestimate how much they have to do THAT MUCH.

Hahahaha, I find it hilarious! I mean, the creation of the Ginyu Force was from Akira Toriyama liking sentai shows like Power Rangers.

Only 5 left in stock - order soon.
It looks to be that way. If my computer didn't go out of commission, I would order it. And there's only two DVDs left. If anybody has either Kai Season One or Kai Parts One and Two, I'll trade it for something.

I figured to mention this here in this thread.

Flower Mound, TX – January 26, 2012- FUNimation Entertainment, has officially confirmed they have suspended production of all future planned Blu-ray releases of Dragon Ball Z including Level 2.1 scheduled to be released on March 27, 2012.

Blu-ray editions of Dragon Ball Z went into production based on fan demand, however due to technical challenges of restoring from the original film frame by frame, we are unable to continue these releases by way of this process. FUNimation will be re-evaluating the current process and researching more efficient methods of restoration.

Specific questions may be directed to : feedback@funimation.com

Was just going to post this, F*** I hope the different process doesn't cause a reduction in quality. I also hope they go through with this.

I assume they are using a different restoration process, therefore it wouldn't affect the Kai releases.

I hope so. I also dont get why with Levels they did smaller releases. It would take forever to finish the series. They could charge more and sell more if they did whole seasons. Atleast with Kai we knew it would be less volumes because it is less than 100 episodes

DBZ Kai has nothing to do with it. If you read what it says, it's talking about Funimation's restoration of the original DBZ releases.

Since DBZ Kai is natively HD and Toei did the work, DBZ Kai should be just fine unless it's being dragged down along with DBZ.
