It should be released a 2-3 weeks before the next season starts, so likely in late August/early September.

I wonder if anyone from the bits has contacted HBO regarding their upcoming releases, and as to why they aren't putting out anymore Sopranos?

Oz and The Wire are my most wanted, but unfortunately neither of those are going to happen.

Other than that I'm really looking forward to Boardwalk Empire. I would have voted The Sopranos too, but after seeing what the first season looks like (meaning terrible) I'm not all that excited about getting the rest.

I could have sworn there was a UK date floating around for early this year, but I guess that would have been too soon and must have been a mistake.

I wish they would release Boardwalk Empire soon. I really wanna see it. That leads me to a question:

Is there going to be another season of Treme? I didn't watch it, but we were talking about them releasing blue right before the new season started.

The show was signed on for a second season two days after the premiere. I don't think there's a set date for the second season, but I have seen the show under the 2011 HBO ads.

I finally watched the first episode last night and thought it was fantastic! Can't wait to see more.

Finally seems like Treme has been off forever. They better pick it up I was getting tired of it towards the end (hopefully no more prepping for carnival all season )

double post gamma.

I like Six Feet Under quite a bit. I would love to have a BD Complete serious set of it, but that seems highly unlikely now. I'll prolly resort to recording reruns or downloading them.

Because both were produced, and possibly edited, in SD, and it would take a tremendous effort to upgrade them to HD. The Wire is pretty straightforward but Oz at least has some visual effects that may have been done in SD video, and in that case all those would have to be recreated in HD.

So far HBO has unfortunately not shown any interest in revisiting any of their SD titles, all Blu-rays released so far have been from shows that had HD masters from the start.

Well I hope they have a rethink if that's their policy. I'm sure there would be a considerable market for complete sets of shows like The Wire and The Sopranos on Blu-ray.

You would think, but it's clear that there is more of a market for new TV series releases, just like there is more of a market for new movie releases than catalog releases.

I have only seen Band of Brothers fully, and pieces of The Pacific, Rome, Deadwood and John Adams. But, the bits I have seen are great. I am really intrigued by Boardwalk Empire. I would like to watch that, so hopefully it gets released on blu-ray.

Default HBO Lombardi Documentary

This may be unrealted since it is not a series but does anyone know if the Lombardi documentary will be released on blu-ray? I dont have HBO, but love football and would like to see this. I have both Band of Brothers and The Pacific on blu-ray and like what I've seen from HBO.

It's a new series, so it will undoubtedly get a blu-ray release around a month before the second season airs. It's a fantastic series. I'm looking forward to seeing the new series Game of Thrones with Sean Bean. Absolutely cannot wait for this.

I'm not sure about their documentary series. As of now I would say that the chances are very slim you will see those released on blu any time in the near future.
