1,000 is the safe number. It creates a sense of FOMO. It doesn’t always pan out to be that way. Plenty of titles struggle to sell even 1K slips. I’m glad to see more 1,000 runs, less product they get stuck with for years on end and eventually have to cut their losses on. Nobody really knows what will take off and what won’t. And there’s always a standard edition, in most cases, available.
