Panasonic SC-BTT770 & Dolby Digital Plus

I recently bought a Roku 3 because the apps on the 770 load so slowly. It's night & day with load speeds between the 2. I tried to watch a movie on Netflix through the Roku & noticed there was no sound coming out of the speakers although it says the 770 has a Dolby Digital Plus decoder inside. Then in the 770 manual it says that the 2 HDMI inputs on there can only decode a Dolby Digital signal. Why would Panasonic design that to function that way since Dolby Digital Plus can only be used via HDMI? It should just downgrade the signal to Dolby Digital instead of not outputting any sound @ all. I don't know if this can be corrected with a firmware update or not but they should seriously considering doing so.
