Those are beautiful! Now I want to upgrade to Towers.
![]() Though I can’t because I don’t have the space in my studio apartment. Originally when I lived with my parents, I had the Polk Monitor 30s as my fronts and some cheapo Dayton Audio for rears because my tiny room didn’t have space for the Monitor 40s at the time. Then when I got my own apartment and had a little more space, I upgraded the 40s for the front, moved the 30s to the rears and ditched the cheap Dayton speakers. Made a huge difference. Boomier fronts and more clarifying in the rear. Never thought the upgrade would be that significant but it was! Last edited by MrHT; 05-06-2022 at 10:19 PM. |

Better than a TV speaker and good for apartments and what not. They aren't a replacement 5.1, 7.1 or Atmos.
You aren't going to find them at Best Buy because those stores cater to the masses and not audiophiles or people really invested. If you don't have a house or room for a surround setup then a soundbar is a worthwhile upgrade to standard TV speakers but otherwise, get a receiver and go 5.1 or more. |

TV speakers always have been crummy. Anything is better than TV speakers. The only time when I'm listening to the sound from the TV, is when I'm watching network television like: the news, game shows, court shows just regular programming, when a full surround system is not needed.
