You could make a pretty convincing argument that Vertigo has the greatest score in film history.

...even if it's not my personal favorite.

Vertigo is a truly great score. However, I am partial to Herrmann's early scores: Kane, Ambersons (full uncut), Webster, Hangover, etc.. Ghost is, IMHO, Herrmann's loveliest and my very favorite to queue up.
