A few off the top of my head....

Robert Plant (pre-1975)
Rob Halford (Painkiller & before)
Ronnie James Dio
Brian Johnson (1981-2000)
Myles Kennedy
Joey Belladonna

Oh, and a personal favorite of mine....Lemmy, of course. Absolutely an aquired taste, but once you "get it", you can't do without it, and there is no substitute.

Agreed. He catched a lot of flack, but if he wasn't in Dream Theater, I have the feeling we'd miss him.

PS: My 2 favorite bands are Tool and Dream Theater.

Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius, Kotipelto)
Dani Nolden (Shadowside)
Aaron Stainthorpe (My Dying Bride) voice really fits the music perfectly

Marta Gabriel (Crystal Viper)

He does a fine job in the studio but he has such an awful approach live for a lot of songs. He over-sings a lot live and doesn't have a good sense on how to improvise with live vocals. Really if he strictly stuck to the albums vocals he would be more than adequate for the band.

Was thinking the same thing today, after hearing Disturbed's cover of FNM's "Midlife Crisis".

Ha I've heard that before. Terrible song for them to cover...basically doing the same thing as faith no more but 100 times worse.

Faith No More covers the Commodores and does a ten times better job.
