I was in the circle on that side of the stage (I couldn't see myself in the picture though).

I hear it was very hot that day in Nashville.

You heard right! It was crazy hot.... especially packing in like sardines in the GA area...standing on metal in the 97 degree Nashville sun!

Overall the Philadelphia show was much more enjoyable, but there were a couple moments of the Nashville show (like them playing the Wanderer and the Adam Bevell thing) I was really glad to see.

I've been a U2 fan since 1987 and The Joshua Tree album. I originally had it on cassette tape and eventually it got worn out. Then I upgraded to the CD and then to the 2 disc and DVD deluxe version that came out a few years ago.

Sadly, I've never seen them live.

Finally, a positive thread on U2.... I used to get a lot of krap in high school during the Pop/PopMart Tour era just for being a fan.

As I've posted in another music-related thread here I've been to:

U2 - PopMart Tour - Eugene, OR/Autzen Stadium - May 6th, 1997 (This one is notorious for an accidental noise code violation.)
U2 - Elevation Tour - Portland, OR/Rose Garden Arena - April 15th, 2001 (Joey Ramone died on that day, and the band announced it and performed "I Remember You" in tribute to him.)

And U23D was amazing! I wish it had been longer with the full show of that gig, and it's a downright shame that it hasn't been released to BD-3D yet.

I also think it's very cool that they witnessed Joy Division in the studio recording "Love will Tear Us Apart" and then getting Martin Hannet to produce their first single.

Oh thank god I'm not the only anti-vinyl guy out there.

Honestly, I don't even know what's going on right now but I think whenever they do their next album, it will just be one album with some songs that they wrote from a bunch of different sessions they've done. Long story short: Songs of Ascent will never come out, at least not as an album. Some of the songs they wrote for it might show up in the future.

I was looking forward to Songs of Ascent, as a companion to No Line on the Horizon. A lot of their best work belongs in pairs.

Boy/October
The Unforgettable Fire/The Joshua Tree
Achtung Baby/Zooropa

Asked whether fans can expect a new album from the band next year, McGuinness told the Irish Independent: "2012 has been very busy. There's always activity, so certainly expect a new record."

I'm hoping they go back to doing arenas on the next touring cycle, similar to the HTDAAB era... I enjoyed the 360 tour, but it had such a corporate vibe to me, like a "mega-event" more so than a rock concert.

Mind you, ZooTV could've had a corporate vibe to it as well, if they stuck to the early idea of using corporate logos and slogans.

Very true, albeit in a satirical fashion you would probably have figured.

Yes, it is. However, I'm thinking PopMart would benefit more from a BD release because of its colors and stuff.

Why oh why hasn't U23D been released on 3DBD yet????????????????????????
