When I’m back out in the world, I’ll do that.
Thanks you!

Speaking of the blues/boogie music I just got into John Lee Hooker and Canned Heat. I see where ZZ Top get their influence.

If you've never heard it, check out George Thorogood's cover of 1 bourbon, 1 scotch and 1 beer. Definitely a classic and a favourite when George plays live.

While listening to the Dixie Chicks, I had thought.

I recall hard or heavy music being blamed for murders and suicides.
I wonder if “Goodbye Earl” has ever pushed a woman to react to an abusive spouse?
I wouldn’t call that a bad thing.

To me, the new song from Kenny Chesney named "Better Boat" is the best song on country radio this year.

God bless you and Kenny always!!!

If you like guitars/guitar rock, you should check out Los Straitjackets. Incredible live shows! Killer studio albums, too. You can't go wrong.

Judas Priest and Ozzy Osbourne specifically and not murders....just suicide. As for the Dixie Chicks, I've never heard of anything but I did read about a case where PMS was used as a defense for murder. She was found not guilty.

To me, the CMA Album of the Year award should've gone to Dierks Bentley last night.

God bless you and him always!!!

I bought The Glorious Sons’ Young Beauties and Fools the day before coming up to work and have listened to it every single day. If this album was released in 2018, it’d easily be my Album of the Year.

I bought my wife (now ex) a ticket for the Godsmack/Volbeat concert in May as a Christmas gift.
She did the same for me. But the tickets she bought are a bit better than the ones I got. She got in on the presale, I didn’t.

I’m sure one or more of my exes were tempted, hahaha!
(But not for abuse, I’m not one of those)

I’m listening to Hell Yeah’s Undeniable for about the 373 time and am blown away by how great this band was. It’s extremely sad that their drummer, Vinnie Paul, has passed away right when the band was in their prime and making such fn great music.
I’m happy that Vinnie completed his tracks on their new album before he left us. I’m looking forward to their final album iand I’m sure it’ll be THE music highlight for me in 2019.

Part of me wants them to find another drummer and carry on. I’d love to see them live.
But the other part of me wants them to disband and leave greatness as their legacy.

While listening to the channels that I like on SiriusXM, I've noticed that dj Kayla Riley hasn't been on lately and to me, that's a good thing. In the rock/hard rock genre, she's pathetic.
A new dj, Caty (sp?) has been great!
I hope that Caty remains and they find room for Kayla elsewhere.

I don't usually pay mind to newer mixes of classic albums, but I love producer Tony Visconti's 2019 mix of David Bowie's Space Oddity. The title song sounds insanely immersive now. The rest of the tracks on the album do not sound quite as “folksy” as they did on the original mix...and that's a good thing.

The below deep cut from the album now sounds almost as though it could have gone on the Ziggy Stardust album...

I usually save my vacation time for in case of concerts that I want to attend, but are on my scheduled work weeks. (In 2019 I saved one week for almost a year, until December for Hellyeah).
But I've already burned my two weeks and Rage Against the Machine is going to be here in May while I'm up at camp.
I have their concert Blu and a couple of albums and think that they're pretty fn awesome!
I've got to figure out a way to make this concert happen. Maybe even leave without pay, if they'll let me.

No surprise, but their concert here was postponed.
Maybe I'll luck out and when all this stuff blows over, RATM's rescheduled concert will be on my days off.

Kayla is back. She was on maternity leave.
I don't hear Caty anymore.
Man this sucks.

I have ( had ) tickets to six shows between now and May.

So far three have been postponed with no new dates yet.

One was canceled all together ( their whole tour did. Mayhem with Abbath. )

The other two are in May so we will see. ...
