Typos in manga

How many times have you noticed a typo in manga you're reading? Here's two from Codename: Sailor V

I think this board is sorta dead, so I don't feel bad about replying to this.

The thing I can't stand is when they glaze over the honorific/naming situation that Japan uses.

One of my favorite manga is Maison Ikkoku, which is based around a college student who is in love with his apartment manager.

So in the original, he would refer to her as "kanrii-nee-san" (I know I probably spelled that completely wrong.) or "manager", which is the proper way to refer to her, given their situation. After some time when they get closer, he starts calling her "Kyoko-san"

Over here in the states he just straight up starts calling her by her first name. I mean, I get that we over here don't use the Japanese honorifics, but this a story set in Japan, and a lot of the plots revolve around this. (One story has our protagonist taking care of his friend's cat, named Kyoko. The cat gets loose so he is calling for her. Kyoko get irritated because he is calling her by her given name, which makes sense in context in the original version, but makes no sense in the Murica version, since he's been calling her that from the start.)

Or when they desperately try to account for a different Japanese dialect, like Toji in Evangelion, which made him sound extra stupid.

I thought it still made sense because they added "baby" (for chan) to the end of her name. If I were a woman and a man I didn't give permission to started calling me pet names, I'd be pretty p.o.'d, too. It obviously doesn't work as well as the original, but I still understood why she was so upset when I first read it all of those years ago.

Man, I totally forgot about that! I just thought it was so awkward. But looking at it that way, I see your point.

Judging by your avatar you also have a special place in your heart for Kanrii-nee-san? (And is that picture from the Pachinko game?)

Yep, she's my gal.

Also, my avatar is indeed from the Pachislot machine. I'd love to import one of the machines to have access to the newly animated scenes, but the shipping fees alone would be outrageous. Overall, I actually like the character designs produced for the machine better than the ones provided by Yuji Moriyama and Akemi Takada for the series.

Not a typo, but the most baffling thing I've ever read is what they did to Azusa in the K-On manga. Instead of simply using her nickname Azunyan, they went ultra literal with Azumeow.
