Off the heels of last week's chapter, I can say that while not that great, this week's chapter of Rent A Girlfriend was...marginally better I guess.

There's a tease at the end, how will that play out

Quick question. How long are people having to wait on manga on back order from RS right now? I want to order the My Dress-Up Darling manga but see that most of it is on back order. Would it just be better to order it from somewhere else?

Square Enix Manga has been very slow on getting stuff out new and Reprints.

Of note is they all should be shrink wrapped so that should make it safe to order from other sources.

My Hero Academia: Villain chapter centered around Toga visiting her old abandoned house and encountering Dabi. Other stuff happens, but that's the main thing. It was alright.

Rent-A-Girlfriend: Well, things have gotten interesting. Last week saw

[Show spoiler]Mami intentionally drop her phone in front of Nagomi for her to pick up and see Chizuru's Diamond profile, blowing the lid off everything,

and this week's chapter

[Show spoiler]sees the immediate aftermath, beginning hilariously with overly dramatic reaction faces from everyone and ending (on a cliffhanger) with Kazuya's parents about to confront him before a seemingly emotional Mami begins to pipe in.

So yeah, there was a rebound from chapter 218, but my expectations are pretty low for what might come next. (Also, it's going on a week-long hiatus, so it will be two weeks before the next chapter.)

My Monster Secret/Actually I Am...

Here's a guy. The girl he is in love with is a vampire. His former love interest is an alien. His new classmate is a nymphomaniac who can turn into a wolfman. His principal is a demon. Yada yada yada.

I just started the fourth volume. It's a fun read with wacky scenarios and amusing characters.

Also Spy X Family. That series is stellar.

I have too many ongoing to even attempt to list them all, but I'm caught up on Chainsaw Man for the time being (10 volumes). Now waiting for the eleventh and final volume release next month. I've been gradually losing interest in it over the last few volumes, but it's still quite good and I hope it ends strong.

Dandadan I'm reading through my Shonen Jump subscription. This one has mostly stolen the thunder from Chainsaw Man. A lot of fun with some wild chapters and characters. But I'm currently in the not so fun wait for 5+ chapters to be released before catching up again routine.

Spy X Family. Started reading the volumes, but currently in the same catch-up routine using Shonen Jump. Very enjoyable series.

Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku A great romcom surprise and something that's been a nice comfort read (and a short one too). Just waiting now for the last volume to wrap it up later this month.

I also want to include Mob Psycho 100, but the English volumes are releasing so slowly that I'll probably be able to read Japanese before it's fully released. I ended up waiting almost a year between reading volume 6 and 7, and I think 8-11 will be spaced over the next 12 months (out of 16 total) starting with volume 8 here in May. Good thing I prefer the anime overall I guess, since that will likely conclude the series later this year.

Bought volume 22 of one of my favourite mangas Kaguya-sama: Love is War today and read through it. Gotta say, it will be very interesting when the anime catches up. Last thing I ever expected was

Just finished reading "Sweat and Soap" by Kintetsu Yamada. Not something I had heard of before but it was featured as #2 on IGNs Top 10 romantic manga list (behind MI, which as I've said before, is an all time favorite) and the description sounded good so I gave it a shot.

I'm glad I did, to not spoil anything while the relationship moved a little fast in the beginning for my tastes it turned into a really good chronicle of a romance and the insecurities and trials that happen with those, I can certainly identify with Askao. The 11 volumes went by pretty fast.

I picked the 20th anniversary edition up from Amazon to hold me over until Nana gets a complete reprint. I've bought volumes 1-5 and 21, all the rest have been out of stock for a year or so from what I can tell.

I read Yashahime Volume 2 tonight. The manga is much closer to what I'd hoped this series would be. It keeps certain things from the anime while doing its own thing overall.
