Most of my purchases are from Amazon Italy as well. Their prices are already low to begin with that I am wondering what would be on offer for Black Friday and beyond.

Let the games begin.

i placed a rather huge order for 25 titles.

Sleepers
Beverly Hills Cop Trilogy

Star Trek 1, 3-10 Steelbooks
Star Trek Beyond Steelbook
Insidious 3 Steelbook
Ghost In The Shell Steelbook
Smokin' Aces Steelbook
E.T. Steelbook
Ex Machina Steelbook
The Big Lebowski Steelbook
The Witch Steelbook
Psycho Steelbook
Serenity Steelbook
O Brother, Where Are Thou? Steelbook
Scarface Steelbook
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein Steelbook

Even with a couple of rather unnecessary double-dips it's a great deal and i'm glad i can add a couple of nice steelbooks to my collection for just 6-7€ each. Worth it for the artworks alone...

Hope so... just found out about this offer, and they have a lot of steelbooks I want.

Tried ordering Life, Ghost in Shell, ET, Oh Brother and Big Lebowski ... but the only one that works is ET

Based on my previous experience, titles removed from the promotion are seldom reinstated. This is one of the reasons to quickly place an order if the items needed fall under your parameters of a bargain and so on.

There was a 40% promo that had most of the animated titles (zootopia and so on) removed after the first day or two and were never reinstated as part of the promotion.

The same thing happened with other boxsets as part of a 3 for 30 euro promotion.

Best to gather up the remaining titles and place an order.

They killed a bunch of stuff. I canceled and reordered again. Some prices went up and I lost some Steelbooks, which is fine because they were double dips anyway. I am happy to get the Star Trek: The Original Series in standard cases for under $20. I had the giant reissue case, which was DVD sized and quite ugly. Also, they dropped the price on the Bourne series by €5, so I picked that up. They also dropped the price on the 4K edition of Close Encounters... at €6.56, it felt like a good deal

Star Trek - The Classic Series Season 02
€5.33
Star Trek - The Classic Series Season 01
€5.33
Star Trek - The Classic Series Season 03
€5.33
Spider-Man Collection ( 5 Blu-Ray)
€4.10
Star Trek: The Roddenberry Vault (3 Blu-Ray)
€4.70
Star Trek: The Animated Series (3 Blu-Ray)
€5.12

The items need to be sold by Amazon.it to be eligible for the deal. If it's out of stock, it will still be on the deal list, but not eligible for the deal.

Yeah, it's a bit of a gamble. I noticed a bunch of items dropped in price after the first week of the sale. Later, it seemed a lot of titles were eliminated from the promotion.

On a separate note, if I used cheap shipping, are they going to wait to ship my whole order until my one out-of-stock item shows up?

Thanks for the info!

By the way, I think all of us who buy from Italy or the other international stores are a rare breed. I know there are "collectors" on this board who would rather pay full price than have a case with foreign language. I, on the other hand, find the foreign packaging kind of charming. It's nice to have something a little different than everyone else. I mean, who many people on my block have the Italian version of the 60's Star Trek?

Because my order keeps staying in the preparing to ship phase, I continuously delete items from it. I spent so much during Black Friday, I decided to save some money and just kept the Star Trek items from this order.

All my items are in stock. I don't know why it hasn't shipped yet.

Consider yourself lucky that you can do that. In my case, at least one or more items will promptly go up in price while something new (that I need) will drop in price, making it worthless to amend the order.

Just a heads up, several items have now been reinstated although it is missing some of the TV show box sets. Newer items have been added and several are listed at 6.99 EUR (before VAT removal and application of 50% discount).

Possibly this is the reason for the delay?

Awesome find. Yeah, I bet.

I did order a CD set (my first time buying a CD in probably 7 or 8 years) from Germany on Friday and it shipped the next day.

I had an order of mine dispatch yesterday, so I wouldn't say that the strike is having that big an effect.

It happens sometimes though, I have had one order in the past taking awhile to ship despite listing all items as being in stock.

There is no need for any concern unless it takes over a week to ship. They are probably inundated with the sheer number of orders. I myself have placed 4 recent orders.

You were correct. I chatted with them asking why my order placed 10 days ago hasn't shipped. They told me it was because of the strike. Unprompted, the CSR credited my account 5 Euro toward my next purchase for the inconvenience.

I am late to this sale. I hope not too late. Someone mentioned prices have increased on some items and many are out of stock.

I will pay a $10 to $15 premium for a US version of a movie over one in a foreign language I don't know. UK titles don't bother me because they are in English. I am most interested in 3D or 4K movies that are not available in the US. Most everything available in the US I will keep waiting until it goes on sale in US.

I went went with several 3D titles for about $6 ea plus a handful of 4K titles which averaged about $11 (Apollo 13, Bridge over River Kwai, etc), and splurged for Ghost in the Shell 3D for around $12. The new shipping rates for AmazonEU are extremely helpful since I use to have carts that would be 30-40% shipping negating a lot of very nice sales.
Besides GITS, what other 3D movies did you order? I could use some suggestions.

Some of them have been reinstated and I haven't had time to go through them all again but Hansel and Gretel 3D is EUR 8.50 before VAT removal and the 50% discount. There are a number of others such as Boxtrolls, Coraline, Jurassic World and so on.

I have narrowed it down to all three options (blu, 3d blu and 4K). You can uncheck them on your left to get only the 3D blu or use this link
