I'm starting Vol-3 of the excellent Berserk release that Dark Horse is providing us in HC. (there's pics in the so-titled thread).

I've also picked up their new HC vols for; Hellsing and Blade Of The Immortal and will confidently state, I'll run them all to the last vols.

3 of my all time fave, in leather bound HCs ? Um, yeah, I'll but those.

I'm finally getting around to reading Yu Yu Hakusho for the first time. Tracking down the volumes has been a pain. Right now I'm waiting on volume 10 to ship with two other volumes because InStockTrades was the only site which had 10 for sale. I'll order the remaining volumes later in the week from Amazon and should have a complete collection within 1-2 weeks.

I started reading Berserk last month and I'm finishing Deluxe Volume 5 tonight. 6 and 7 will be here tomorrow and then I'm caught up with the Deluxe volumes until August.

Currently reading and considering dropping Maison Ikkoku. It's too bad because I like Rumiko Takahashi's art style and obviously love InuYasha and Mermaid Saga. I feel like there's absolutely no progress being made in the story. I'm at the end of Signature Edition Vol 3, for reference. I'll either cancel my pre-order of Vol 4 and wait for a sale price or be done with the series all together. Far too repetitive and slow moving for my liking. I dropped Urusei Yatsura quickly after the second volume because I could already tell it'd get stale fast.

Aside from that I've begun reading Monster. I got tired of waiting for a DVD/Blu-ray release that seems unlikely to ever happen.

While waiting for the latest chapter of Haite Kudasai, Takamine San I discovered and read all of Hagure Idol Jigokuhen fun stuff but definitely straddling the hentai border, it's spin off Hagure Idol Jigokuhen Gaiden - Princess Sarah, definitely crossed that border and then some

It's actually getting an English version with a really stupid title https://www.rightstufanime.com/Booty...nibus-Volume-1

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

Picked up Vol 1 because the art looked nice and the premise seems interesting.

Started reading 'Claymore'. I watched the anime and really liked it up until a very dragged-out climactic battle. The anime ended with the warriors starting to question their own organization, which I thought could lead to some interesting stories. I was told the manga gets into the politics of the monster-killer organization a lot more, so I decided to get it a go.

Currently reading the Quintuplets manga, was reading the Evangelion manga but took a break from it after volume 3 so I'll probably go back to it after Quintuplets.

I haven't read the manga (I plan too someday) but I've seen the anime like 5 times since its a favorite of mine. That being said, its definitely a slow burn and has a lot of dancing around the point. The anime doesn't really pick up until after episode 28, which I believe is chapter 67.

Edit: Just realized you posted this in June, sorry for the Necro reply You can tell I dont go to the manga forum often.

Well, I finished Quintuplets. It certainly does give a lot more depth to series compared to anime, some of the characterizations are even different. I'm glad I read the whole thing as it flushes out the anime very nicely.
It was a good and engaging read so it felt like it went fast.

[Show spoiler]

That being said, I can't help but be a little disappointed Yotsuba turns out to be the bride. Not only because I'm an Itsuki person, but that it seems to not be very well developed. For the majority of the series you think it can't possibly be her because she's the worst academically and supporting people in the background, and you never see her have any visible feelings towards Futaro until later, when we get to the sisters war, bell scene, etc. Since she also turns out to be the girl he met in Kyoto (well, the first one, anyway ) it also follows the anime cliche of being the girl he first met. And then when everyone has there dream, her secret dream is to be a bride. Okay then.
Plus you know, even being Quints I can't imagine being happy taking your 4 sisters with you on your honeymoon, thsts just weird...

Besides that though, I did really enjoy the manga and the growth everyone had through it, I'm actually debating getting the Quintuplets figures.

I'd prefer to watch the series but without a DVD/Blu-ray release I'll probably never get around to it.

I didn't end up buying Vol 5 and sold off 1-4 not long after that post.

Yeah, its highly disappointing there is not an easy to get English friendly release. I started with the VHS tapes which never got finished then finished watching later on a DVD set which I later found out was a bootleg. Hopefully someday Discotek or a kickstarter or something brings it over Bluray wise. I had a friend custom make me a set from the JPN blus and Viz subs which is the best I've got right now.

When I heard about the leaks for the newest chapter of Rent A Girlfriend, a series I haven't fully read but still read new chapters off anyway (alongside gradually making my way from the beginning), my initial thoughts were that it was all absurd made-up nonsense made to pull people's legs.

Then Gigguk tweeted about the newest chapter yesterday...then I saw the leaked panels (and some funny edits of them)... and then I actually read the full thing via a fan translation...

[Show spoiler]Kazuya has turned into beginning-of-EOE Shinji Ikari. Oh boy.

This manga better rebound fast. Para-para-paradise arc indeed.

Yup. Rent A Girlfriend is 100% trash and the author is just trolling it's fans. I can't help but lol at anime only fans. Sad to see cause it had potential but I can't see it getting better.

Kaiko Sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-Dai) No Slow Na Second Life hope this gets an anime, it's really fun. The translation I read is awful but gets better. The MC is actually likable and not a wuss around women.
