The export cut has the exact same cuts as the HKL DVD. The Fox DVD uses the newer Star TV dub not the Classic dub that's on the HKL DVD.

So yes it's a legitimate export cut.

I presume also it isn’t a legitimate “export” cut as The US release on Twentieth Century Fox label dvd is uncut with English track. Pandering to political correctness is a dangerous game. Should all cut films be presented as options with latter day releases so as not to offend? If it’s not an export version, then would the menu say play “censored version”; “UK censored cut”? Should we start going down the Night breed and fan edit route and call it the “snowflake cut”?

Any fan worth their salt is going to be keeping their cut HKL dvd anyway, if only for the Bey Logan commentary!
The rape scene isn't easy to watch but it must have been a way to show the villains as complete bastards.

I've yet to see Eastern Condors in its entirety. Owned it on HKL DVD once but the PQ was barely watchable and I think I got bored But I'm willing to buy the boxset anyway, haven't seen the other 2 before

Maybe I'll enjoy Eastern Condors this time with the remaster. That boxset cover though irks me, feels very "quick selection tool, copy, paste & paint bg blue"

The night time scenes in Eastern Condors are correct so no worries on that one.
I think a scene where they are stealing the dye, but I could be mistaken.

If the snake was already dead in the latter shot, I can only assume that Yuan Biao was either uncomfortable killing it himself or didn't know how to. I doubt the cut was made over concern to the snake, sadly.

Great shout on Eastern Condors, and to 88 for Dragons Forever, but going back to those Halcyon days of visiting Eastern Heroes in Chinatown in Central London and spending my hard-earned wages there, I'd love to see releases of the following :

Pedicab Driver
Fatty Tiger, Skinny Dragon

and although it's not golden age,

SPL Kill Zone

No probs.

I prefer Flash Point, but SPL is still awesome.

The white-suited villain is played by Wu Jing who is quite the accomplished martial artist himself.

Both of the sequels are well worth a watch with SPL 2 having some great set pieces including one of the best prison riot scenes around. The third part is a little thin on action but the fact that Sammo Hung makes Louis Koo look like a talented martial artist shows just how good Hung is at what he does.

SPL 2 is one of the worsts blind buys I've ever made. I regret it even more, as it sat unwatched for months, when it could've been on ebay.

Didn't bother with part 3, after that wee incident.
