Still waiting on Why Don't You Play in Hell to come out over here, Sono's next film, Tokyo Tribe, is supposed to be just as good.

This would be the second Sono film I've seen now. Seems like it dragged a bit in the middle, but the beginning bit is great, and the ending is phenomenal. Plenty of crazy stuff going on. I'm rating this a 4.5/5, and I think you'll get a kick out of it too.
That's had my eye for awhile. Glad to hear you like it. I would recommend A Strange Circus, but apparently I've already done so in this thread. While we're talking about Sono, are you also dying for a Suicide Club BD?

Hmmm, I'm not sure. If they do put it out to Blu-Ray at a reasonable price, I might consider grabbing it.

I should post something constructive while I'm here.

Taking random video clips and editing them together to music has been a hobby of mine ever since 2001. Last fall, I got to visit Seattle for a few days, visiting family. Along the way, I took/edited the following video; it was rather drab most of the time, but I think it was still a pretty swell trip and everything turned out well.

Good news everyone! I finally got around to spiffying up one of my novels, and I published it on Amazon. Feel free to read more about it on my blog.

Thank you. I saw a bunch of these on FB - art nouveau renderings of Miyazaki characters - and just had to use my favorite one as an av.

Yours is good too. It's always a pleasure to see Amy Winehouse in some form.

Had to look this up. They're well executed, but kinda repetitive. This one is my fav:

Well, not always. Some of those photos still bring me down.

Aww man. That picture is great! I can't wait for that Miyazaki box set.

I'm not a big Totoro fan, but that one is pretty cute and funny.

The new box set should be cool. I'd get it if I didn't have so many already on disc.

Ah...
Yeah, I really lucked out. I kept putting off and putting off on getting the sigle releases. I was good, cuz my old roommate was getting each one that came out, so we would just watch those. So I got lucky, but he's pretty bummed out about the set...

What games are coming out that you are super pumped for?

That's not a bad deal. It's sometimes good to wait for box sets.

I could probably kick myself for the Marvel movies - I've bought them all as singles rather than waiting for the whole box sets, which have all 3D copies and more extras. However, I am waiting for box sets on The Hunger Games, Divergent, and the extended Hobbit movies.

I got my pre-orders in for Mad Max and Fallout 4. Mad Max is one of the reasons why I got the PS4 - I saw it advertised and I was instantly psyched for it. It's going to be a blast to drive Max's car around the wasteland.

Fallout 3 is one of my all-time favorite games, and one of the first I got for the PS3. NV was great too. I was always hoping for #4, and now I can't wait for it.

There are a few games I've got on my wishlist that I'm just waiting for sales on - Gotham Knight, GTA V, Witcher 3, AC: Unity. It looks to me like the absolute best stuff has yet to come; I'm will most certainly buy No Man's Sky, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Uncharted 4, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Not sure about the new Doom; those games freak me out. SW: Battlefront looks spectacular, but I'm not a regular multiplayer gamer, so I'm not sure if I'll play it that much if I get it. There is a new AC coming out too, but I might wait until I catch up with the other games (haven finished 3 and 4 yet).

I really haven't been buying PS4 games as fervently as I have PS3 ones. I'm still working on my huge gaming backlog - been working on PoP and X-Blades lately, and I might have to play Hitman before the new movie comes out. I have been doing a good job of keeping up with the PS4 games I get though. Last one I got was Godzilla, which is a pretty mindlessly fun.

Yeah, I imagine it must be hard for MJ fans that a man who was once a superstar became a freakshow and laughing stock (until he died and suddenly everyone loved him again). Of course, the worst part was the allegations which were far worse than anything Amy did. I haven't done the research to judge whether the allegations were true or likely true, but it's terrible either way.

Heretic!

Seriously, though, Totoro is great, but it is overrated. Miyazaki did better.

I'll probably sell my copies. I hear the American releases have better transfers anyway (been collecting the UK versions since they come out earlier). Worried about it being an Amazon exclusive, though. Had bad experiences with them lately.

Can't believe I've neglected this thread for so long.

No wait, yes I can! Because 2016 has been a rather odd year overall and I've been uninspired all this time. Perhaps even a little cagey or irritable. I apologize to anybody I may have rubbed the wrong way with any arguments or attitude I've expressed in various threads. It'll be one of my New Year's goals (or rather, an every-year goal) to improve my attitude.

For now though, Merry Christmas to all Blu-Ray.com members!
