That's how I feel about Clash of the Titans 3D, which I am quite happy to own.

Yeah..I agree. At first when I saw the title of the thread. I gasped out loud and was like, lol. But after reading the link the OP posted, I was a bit let down. But I'm going to pick this up anyway...something is DEFINITELY better than nothing in this case

Any chance of this release coming stateside..either thru Amazon, Best Buy, or whoever??

The entire Creature From The Black Lagoon trilogy is an absolute personal favorite. The third installment, The Creature Walks Among Us, was not released in 3D, but it sure is a great story. All of them are.

Amazingly, the "Creature" seems to be horny all the time. That beast constantly goes after the sexy female star in each of these Jack Arnold/William Alland films.

Several years ago, there was a report circulating on the Internet that a remake of Creature From The Black Lagoon was in the works that was rumored to star Bill Paxton with Ron Howard directing. Apparently, the project never got off the drawing boards.

Glad we have the first Creature on blu-ray (and 3D blu-ray). I still enjoy the sequels on old ray DVD, but I would love to see them restored and released on blu-ray some day. The same could be said of any number of the amazing 50s Universal "Monsters" movies, such as It Came From Outer Space (3D), This Island Earth (which stars Jeff Morrow and Rex Reason who play the leads in Creature Walks Among Us), Tarantula (it's been released on blu-ray in Germany), Monster On The Campus, The Monolith Monsters (also available on blu in Germany), The Leech Woman and several others.

Trailers of the Creature trilogy (love the soundtrack music!):

I agree with you nycomet. Creature From The Black Lagoon is my all time favorite horror movie and I love the sequels as well.

I read on a German forum Michael from the compamy said that the company there is no 3D masters of Revenge of The Creature and It Came from Outer Space so its just blu ray with red/blue versions with 3D cardboard glasses.

It's very likely this is the old one-inch transfer that dates back to the early 1980's when REVENGE was badly-converted to anaglyphic 3-D for television. None of the baked-in alignment issues were corrected.

Releasing this ancient, sub-par transfer on Blu-ray in 2015 is ridiculous.

If we had been approached, we could have created a flawless HD master from left/right 35mm materials at a very reasonable price.

Sigh...

Yeah, that's too bad it's only the anaglyph version. You may be correct as why wouldn't they offer a stereo 3D version if they had the original elements?
I remember seeing this as a kid, on TV in 3D in the 80's with the red/cyan glasses. Soupy Sales introduced the movie in 3D if I remember right.

I would LOVE for you and your team to tackle this one Robert!! Universal should have sought you out.

I'm, at the least, VERY PLEASED to see ROTC get a blu release!! If this is the only way to get a 3D blu release of this flick....I'm in. I, of course, would have preferred a 3D blu release....but at least it's something for now until Universal gets with the program and releases ROTC on 3D blu.....AND a blu release of CWAU!!

I was just about to post the same news, cool!
When they put the creature in the public aquarium, though it took away the scare factor, it was still an interesting twist in the Creature's storyline as a showcase spectacle for the patrons attending the park. Almost like putting a dinosaur in a Park.

Well, at least this is only a German release. Perhaps North America or the UK will get a Blu-Ray edition of this movie actually worth buying; I'm still holding out some hope for a 3-D Blu-ray release of this.

For now, the version on my Creature Legacy Series DVD will have to do, as this definitely isn't worth upgrading to.

Yep, I saw it too. I like Svenghoulie's giving us facts about the movie and actors as well as the related between breaks comedy bits. I'm in Chicago where his show is shown OTA. What cities are you boys in and what cable companies carry it in your neck of the woods?

I'm in Cincy, OH. I just dumped Time Warner for Cincinnati Bell (Fiber Optics).

I like the background info of the actors and movie facts as well. I have to watch Svenghoulie every Saturday night!! Love the show

I have a version that requires Field Sequential shutter glasses and is the real deal in terms of 3D. Not the Super Living 3D version. So I assume it will be released in actual Bluray 3D.

Yes...its B&W.

I wouldn't assume anything. The anaglyph 3D on this disc is apparently in SD. If they want to release an actual 3D-Bluray of this title, they'd have to create a new master.

I noticed on the front packaging of that blu ray it shows the anaglyph red/cyan glasses.
