Yes, the Kickstarter version of BGC is three discs and the wide release is one. We knew this.

It's a surprisingly good release. The compressionist did a good job in making sure that it looks as good as possible on a single disc. The picture quality received a small downgrade compared to the 3-disc release from what I remember (the screenshot comparison is sadly gone).

I bought the DVD set a couple years ago while totally unaware that it was also on Blu Ray. I need to sell my DVD set and buy the OVA in HD.

I spent a pretty penny on the 3-disc set on the 'Bay earlier this year. It was the only AnimEigo title I missed on kickstarter, so I figured it was going to be really rare to find anymore (especially still sealed) ON TOP of it coming with all the extra loot crap that I don't care about anyways, lol
