Most of the reviews agree that its really not necessary. Plus, you'd be doing yourself a favor not watching, it really is one of the worst comic book movies ever.

For people who like to say the critics donít matter, they donít half overreact when a lukewarm review threatens to go against the grain.

Dumb as hell. They should've just waited until Friday morning at like 8am so they could have huge Thursday night numbers.

I saw this last night, and I'm a big fan of Gunn's previous work (Slither included), but this just didn't quite hit the mark for me. It felt distinctly average. I didn't hate it, by any means, I just wouldn't be out raving about it. Will go more into why once more people have seen it.

Saw it last night and I don't know. Maybe I was too hyped by all the reviews and ratings as of late, but I ended up being rather disappointed. Not that it was bad, it just wasn't THAT good and way overhyped. And I might be in the minority with liking the first movie at least somewhat, and while I went to see that one about 4 times in theater, I don't think I will watch this one again anytime soon, if at all. It doesn't really feel to me that it would hold up at all on repetitive viewings.
I was so excited to be blown away by this, but instead I left the theater pretty "meh".
I would give it a 6.5/10 I guess.

Don't forget her unprofessional Twitter discussion she had with Cathy Yan over Birds of Prey plot elements despite Yan having more knowledge about her own movie than Randolph.

This one has much higher rewatch potential than the first. Also because it's actually a good (great) movie.

But it's all subjective.

****ing morons (just like Disney w/ Black Widow, etc. - but at least they charge for it). They should value their theatrical releases more.

Yep, should have been at least a day after. It will bite them on the ass long term.

Certainly planning on watching this tonight, only question is if I do HBO Max or use A List and head downtown to see it in IMAX (like I did with Mortal Kombat and In the Heights)

No, Grace Randolph states in her video review she was going to give it a negative score on RT, but essentially didn't want to get hounded by fans and stand out, so she didn't submit her score at all.

What's worse? Being intimidated by fear of social media into silence, or having a contrary opinion?

Yeah, not for me I think.
While the first one was a mess, it was still enjoyable for different reasons.

But this one has way more problems. The forced humor that doesn't really land, which was to expect with Gunn and also that first trailer. The lack of likeable characters. Once more Harley is the best part of the movie. I also liked Rick Flag a lot more this time though and Polka Dot Man was fun.
I didn't really care for Bloodsport or Ratcatcher 2 at all. I expected to love King Shark but he ended up being just super annoying.
[Show spoiler]Peacemaker started out fun but by the end of the movie they turn him into the most hated character, which confuses me even more how they give him a spin-off.
Makes absolutely no sense to me.
The story isn't really that deep either. The movie is even quite dragging for a big chunk.
So I guess the best thing the movie had going for it were the surprises who lives/dies.
That will be gone for a rewatch. So I think a second watch will be dragging even more and make me hate certain decisions even more. Gunn definitely killed off the wrong characters at certain points, that it makes you rather hate the movie more and more, the more you think about it.
