I bought a wii, played every single good game for it, couldnt believe how horrible the games/controls were, and sold it a week later. If you're a GAMER, the Wii is not for you. My 11 year old sister hated it as well and went back to playing gamecube games (mario kart) and Super Mario World on the xbox via emulator. Avoid at all costs.

We have a Wii and love it. I don't do a lot of 'serious' gaming on it, but it's great when you have people over.

EDIT: I didn't realize how old this thread was.

I have one, honestly though I haven't used it for quite some time. I should pick up Super Mario though.

I bought the wife one for christmas so she could use the wii fit. It's also good to play with the family especially with young ones. It doesn't get used near as much as the PS3 but I still enjoy it from time to time.

I like how they're advertised as cheap but by the time you get everything needed to actually play it seems like I could have bought another PS3!

I bought the Wii for ONE GAME. Tatsunoko vs, Capcom. Excellent game with Excellent graphics. Now that I have the console, I've also picked up New Super Mario & really enjoyed that.

Aside from some random Fighting game from capcom that will never see the light of day on the HD consoles, I won't be buying any games OTHER than 1st party titles. ie, Super Mario-Mario Kart-Zelda etc.

I think if you stay 1st party with this system it can be a lot of Fun. Nintendo knows how to have a "good time" and make you feel like a kid again!

I will likely add a Wii to my living room within the year. I plan on playing Smash Bros Brawl, Final Fantasy IV-2, Tastu v Capcom, both Super Marios, House of the Dead 2-3, the DDR games, and some others.

I had one when they first came out and it sat and sat for months because I picked up a PS3 lol. I sold it for a gun and the rest is history. I'm waiting for the potential "HD Wii"...we'll see what happens.

Props to Steve for the thread revival!

I love my Wii. Its first-party titles are rarely matched with competing systems; however, overall game library and support for other systems usually blows Nintendo out of the water in that respect. Either way, I love mine, and if any of this Wii 2 speculation is true where it'll be HD-compatible, I'll be all over it and will have two Wii systems in my house.

I have all of the "Big 3" I guess I love that whatever game comes out for Xbox360-PS3-Wii I know I can play them all. As far as order of use it goes, Xbox360 (gaming online mostly) PS3 (Blu-ray use mostly, with some gaming) Wii (bought mainly for the fiancée but also works well when extended family comes over or great for partys)

I've had it since the first month it was released and still play MarioKart and Super Mario fairly often.

MarioParty 8 has been an extreme disappointment..

I know this is an old post, but I'm a GAMER and I have a Wii.

Also, how is it possible to play via an emulator on the Xbox? Or are you talking about an illegal mod?
