United Kingdom Bond 24 - What Should The Next Title Be

With the next installment of James Bond (Bond 24) expected to begin shooting this fall, it is scheduled for release in the UK by October 23, 2015, and within the following two weeks will be released in the US by November 6, 2015

As posted by Shatterhand007.com, which takes us on a small journey into the title world of James Bond and what the next installment might be...

There are several articles out, since late last year, that are reporting that 'Devil May Care' is the possible next title of actor Daniel Craig's fourth installment as James Bond. Craig will also be reteaming with director Sam Mendes, as Mendes is set to direct his second consecutive Bond movie with a story that is possible to continue where the previous Skyfall, left off...

...., I now ask all fans of James Bond, what should the next title of the 24th installment of James Bond be?

Death Is So Permanent
Devil May Care
Doomslayer
The Hildebrand Rarity
My Enemy's Enemy
The Property of A Lady
Risico
Shamelady
Shatterhand
The Undertaker's Wind
The Writing On My Heart
or
Other (Please Specify)

Not really a fan of most those titles. I don't mind Devil May Care, The Hildebrand Rarity (granted this seems more Sherlock Holmes) and The Enemy's Enemy.

I think Death is so Permanent sounds like a missing quote from Mean Girls, and Doomslayer sounds like Bond's going to take on some dragons.

Personally, I really liked the name they were going to go with in Skyfall, Carté Blanche, or maybe Never Dream of Dying.

I feel like Mike Myers should be responding to this

I voted other and my sugggestion is ,,, Blood Stone . I especially like it because you can use the "o"s in both words to make a 007.

Those are some nice titles

I'm not too familiar with Ian Fleming's work or books, so I'm not too sure what has been used or what is possible from those sources; Nevertheless, I have come up with a few titles myself...

Death Leaves No Trace
.
The Devil May Cry
.
I Dream of Death
.
In Life, There's Death
.
Liberty For Thy Maiden
.
No Mercy In Death
.
There Are No Second Chances

Not sure if any of these would make good choices

There's usually a title with one or more of the following:

• "Gold" (such as "Goldfinger", "Goldeneye" and "The Man with the Golden Gun")
• "Day" or similar (such as "The Living Daylights", "Die Another Day" or "Tomorrow Never Dies")
• "Die" ("Live And Let Die", "Tomorrow Never Dies")
• "Never" ("Never Say Never Again", "Tomorrow Never Dies")

Therefore, I propose James Bond will return in... "The Gold Day Never Dies"

Never Say Never Again isn't an EON production though.

Well, none of the proposed titles in this poll really do much for me.

Death Is So Permanent states the obvious way too much. Besides, we can't prove this title yet. A ghost could always pop up somewhere in the Bond universe...

Doomslayer sounds like a dark evil fantasy movie. They should give that one to Peter Jackson or something.

The Hildebrand Rarity: huh?

My Enemy's Enemy sounds like next year's award-winning drama.

The Property of A Lady: I know this comes from one of the short stories, but does that mean we'll be getting a remake of Octopussy? Meh.

Risico: what is that, a name?

Shamelady: compound words worked for Skyfall, but this is just stupid, come on!

Shatterhand:

The Undertaker's Wind:

The Writing On My Heart: sounds like a sweeping epic romance. Unless Bond actually pulls out a man's heart and writes on it; that could be awesome.

I do like the title for Devil May Care. If this is based on the novel I read, which was like some kind of semi-canon Bond book written in Ian Fleming's writing style, I remember the story being pretty so-so; I'd rather the filmmakers keep the title and come up with their own plot.

Other than that, I don't know. Just surprise us. It can't be any worse than freaking Octopussy.

Some of these are references to Fleming's work. The Hildebrand Rarity is a short story he wrote. Same for Risico, the story of which was already used as a subplot in For Your Eyes Only (Greek drug smuggling).

The Undertaker's Wind is a reference from the novel Live and Let Die (the undertakers wind is the breeze blowing out from shore in Jamaica, taking the bad air with it).

Shatterhand is the alias adopted by Blofeld in the novel You Only Live Twice.

As you stated, Property of a Lady was a short story as well, used as subplot in Octopussy.

Just had a random thought the other day. Since gold and diamonds and stuff play so much into some of the Bond movie titles, maybe they could do one called, simply, All That Glitters...

Heck, I might use it for fan fiction.
