I just ordered the Blaze at a discounted price from work. This will be my first device. Any Blu-ray members out there owns a Fitbit?

I just bought a Blaze also from Best Buy a few minutes ago!
I've had Fitbits since summer of 2013. I started with the Flex, then in April 2015 moved to a Surge since it had GPS and worked with tracking cycling. I loved the features of the Surge, but it was just not well built. I had it replaced twice during the 1 year warranty. First time was because the band was falling apart in several places (which with the Flex and Blaze isn't a problem since you can replace those, but you can't on the Surge). Then the replacement one would only hold a charge for a day, and only would last 30 minutes if I used the GPS tracking. Now my third one's band is falling apart and I am out of the warranty now. I decided I wanted to get the Blaze since it has GPS tracking, by using your phone's GPS, and I can replace bands if they break. I was just waiting for a discount on it. I saw Best Buy had the large plum version on sale for $169.99, so I bought that and a blue replacement band for $29.99. I had the $10 gift card from the spend $50 on movies/tv shows a few weeks ago and I had a $25 gift card from the Ibotta app. Can't wait to go pick it up today! As for it's effectiveness, it works well when I put my mind to actually reaching the goals and keep a food diary. Before I got a Fitbit, I was around 230 pounds. The lowest I've been is 195 pounds. Recently I've gotten off track and haven't been eating well since I've had some changes in my life and I'm around 210 now, but I'm starting back up again and I'm hoping this purchase will help with my motivation. |

I run 35 to 50 miles a week on average, but I do not own a Fitbit, because they remind me of the collars that the school kids had to wear in the movie, Battle Royale.
Most of my running friends wear them, and love them, though. |

Plus for those that get Fitbit's with HR monitors the phone can't do that. |

Kudos to the Fitbit crew. My Charge started to unglue so they upgraded me to an Alta. I love how small it is; some things are frustrating, and I think I'm gonna miss seeing my floors tracked...but it is what it is. Overall I think I like it better than the Charge. That Charge 2 looks great.

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread but I just joined the club.
I've been after a Fitbit for ages but could never really justify the cost and my exercise was always too inconsistent. Now I walk on average around six miles a day as I've moved to a new part of the city and my commute is longer than before and will be even further when I move out of the temporary accommodation I am in at the minute. And while I don't feel like I do, apparently I walk like a machine so it isn't just a casual saunter. Although it does suck to always arrive at work so sweaty, you start off in all your winter gear with the frost on the ground and then half way round you've removed everything but what keeps you decent. So I asked for one for my Birthday admittedly in some part due to a lack of need for anything else, I turned twenty six today and have a good job so generally if I need something I buy it, but also because now seems the right to make proper use of one. I just asked for the Alta but my Dad got me the Charge 2 HR instead and the amount of features crammed into this band is awesome. Really looking forward to diving into the deep range of tiles on the app and abilities of the device to make for a better me moving forward. ![]() |
