Default Kid Icarus Uprising, a good game with bad rules

This game has some particular good and bad qualities to it.

Story, voice work and presentation are excellent. Lots of funny banter the whole way through.

The game play is alright. Controls kinda funny but the combination of flying shoot em up and 3ps/fps play has some fun to it.

What's freaking lame are the rules: weapon system is random and backwards, and there's no way to save, try something, and reload if you don't like it. Worst of all are the excessive penalties for dying: the difficulty drops, and a chunk of your plunder is burned. They don't even refund the hearts spent on your intended intensity setting. And if you exit a stage: everything you found in it is forfeited and any hearts spent on intensity are still lost. LAME.

IMO, I should get an infinite number of retries on a stage, keeping the difficulty the same, and not losing so much of my hard earned stuff upon dying. I should also be allowed to enter a stage and leave with what I got thus far without having to finish it every time, as long as I've cleared that stage at least once.
