If you can get your hands on nice new 3dsxl for a decent price I would say go for it. I never did make my way over to the switch. I have enough of a 3ds backlog to last me until the next Nintendo system. There are so many good games on the 3ds.

I wouldn't recommend. It is cheap, but if you have somewhat big hands then it may feel your hands to be cramped mine sure did.

Mario 3D Land made the 2DS all worth it. Such an amazing game and completed it twice.

I got a used 3ds two months ago. Came with a bunch of games. The system is great and really great to travel with. Lots of amazing games. I love the 3d effect so I would buy a 3ds but that is just me

A while ago they came out with the "New 2DS XL", which has the additional processing power of the New 3DS XL, and pretty much the same form factor (with it opening and closing just like a 3DS), and the only major difference being the lack of 3D. It's a big step up in many respects from the previous 2DS wedge design.

I bought a new 2DS last Black Friday just so I could still have a spare working DS whenever I want to play my existing 3DS games in the next 3-7 years or before they phase-out.
