Anyone else picking it up? Already have it? Thoughts? Personally I'll be picking up the collectors edition. Been messing around with the demo and I'm eager to get the full game.

I pre-ordered the game super early on, assuming I was going to automatically get the Collector's Edition by the time it came out. Unfortunately, when I finally managed to check on things, they apparently added a second pre-order list for the CE which I wasn't included on, and there weren't any more copies available. The manager is trying to pull some strings for me, since I was the first pre-order at the store. Hopefully all works out well.

Finished mostly everything in the demo. Just working on finishing reconstructing the village for the last play bonus.

I really liked the demo but I really sucked at the game and I am a pretty experienced jrpg player. That dragon boss kicked my ass. I get a little overwhelmed when I have too many options to choose from. When you change roles, but keep the special abilities, do your base stats change significants after the role shifts? Thanks.

The base stats do change from job to job.

Completed the last of the play bonuses for the demo yesterday. First thing I'm doing when I get home today is throwing this in my system.

Crushed the demo dragon boss and then used the same party below for the robot boss, which got a bit interesting. I was @ Level 15, I think?

I had all the good armor/weapon items from the Norende stores, but not the 1000GP arm bracelet.

Two dudes:
- Maxed out Ninja with maxed out Black Mage subclass.
- Maxed out Swordmaster with maxed out R/W Mage subclass.

Two ladies:
- Maxed out Valkyrie with maxed out White Mage subclass.
- Maxed out Knight with maxed out Ninja subclass.

I had leveled them all as Ninja/Mage to get Utsusemi and Damage Dispersion/Angelic Ward ability.

At every needed opportunity, have the 2 with Ninjas abilities do: Utsusemi. This would guarantee a miss. Have the Valkyrie in-air as much as possible. The follow-up Boss hit(s) would then do only ~ 100 damage each. Do Cure/Curaga to keep every over 500HP.

For attacking: I would Brave the Ninja as much as possible (even without BPs). He was doing 3 or 4x ~600 damage with 5 hits per Kunai with crits regularly. Have Valkyrie jump, unless healing is needed (Valkyrie would do only 300 damage, because I forgot to add the two-handed ability). Have Swordmaster attack (mine was dual wielding the 2 good swords) or Default or heal with Cure if needed. Have Knight do Utsusemi and then attack (had two-handed set which would do 600 damage) or Default.

I am sure there are better combos of jobs/abilities, but that's what so awesome about the game. The grinding for gold/exp/jp was awesome when you got above the enemy area levels, and set everyone to 4xbrave attack, and then press Y for AUTO and FFWD. Guaranteed 1 round win.

For the Dragon and Robot I used straight Ninja. Everyone was set as secondary White Mage (max level). Had dual Kunai on all four characters as weapons with only the mid range armor. For the abilities I had Angelic Ward (White Mage), Transience (Ninja), and Multitask (Swordmaster). Run Ikkikasei on all four characters and attack after the Ikkikasei. Wiped the Dragon second turn every time only losing one character in between BP regeneration second turn maybe third hit from second character to attack and it was over. Robot fared pretty much the same.

^ that works even better.

Full game is great so far. Sleep mode to build Norende constantly.

Don't forget when you visit an adventurer to update data (once every 24 hours) whilst connected to the Internet. You earn villagers that way if you can't find anyone on streetpass with the game.

I got the game last year and love it, I can't wait for Bravely Second to come out.

Bought this game yesterday.

Haven't had a chance to give a go yet, but I am looking forward to it.

Demo was 7-8 hours total for me. You'll get various normal weapons/armor/items in the full game (saving you GP from having to buy them) and any villagers in Norende from the Demo (using the exploit you can get 20).

On the demo:

I have a Red Mage Level 4 which is maxed out? Why only level 4? I bought the level 3 Fira spell and she can't seem to use it. Am I doing something wrong?

The jobs in the demo version have a max cap of level 4 in the full version I believe the max for the job levels is 14. The highest I've hit with any of my characters so far in the full version is 11. You also have to earn the jobs in the full version as side quests and through the main story as you only start out with a few. In the full version my Red Mage wasn't able to use level 3 & 4 Black or White magic until I believe level 9 or 10.

Historically in FF games, Red Mages have always used both white/black magic, but at a lower level than the pure casting school. So Black/White Mages would get Level 2 Fire/Cure spells @ Level X, and the Red Mage would need Level X + Y. Sorry, if that's too vague...
