I’d rather be outside too but I use the gym over the winter months.
Many find it boring but I’m fine with my music on.....weightlifting,now there’s something that bores me.

I did walk around the walls of Vatican City once,I couldn’t run as I had a beer in my hand.

I loved to run but flat feet and a torn tendon in one of knees put an end to that so now an upright exercycle is my best friend. That and going to the gym for a workout 6 days out of 7.

Not as fast as I used to be, probably due to weighing about 180 vs the 170 and 160 I weighed before. Definitely going to be tinkering with my diet and my caloric intake over the next 7 weeks heading into my 5th full marathon.

As an endomorph, I find the concept of running hilarious.

I prefer jogging on treadmills. I have bad knees, so treadmills are better. Unfortunately I don't own a treadmill.

Just do power walking. That will sort your knees out.

I’ve been doing Insanity for my cardio. Yes, not good on my knees, but I substitute certain moves that may be rough on my knees.

Looks more ridiculous if your knee's are buckled. I can hear some runner's from a mile away they are making so much impact.

Well, I know it is nothing compared to you people on here doing marathons and ultras, and having done marathons in the past, I have ran further, but my goal this year was to really document my mileage and get to 1000 miles, which has been difficult the last few years. Generally one day a week I would job, would be spent with a push mower, which is a suitable replacement for jogging a few miles (recently got a riding model), also ha a young toddler which makes things challenging too, and the weather down here calls for many afternoon showers which I would generally skip those days. I am also not getting younger on these arthritic knees of mine.

This year I have been determined, I have to be anal to a point to get in runs on days you might not have before, like during rains. I'd been squeamish on these type runs in the last after injuring myself on a run during a rain. I have mixed in runs to and from work on days my wife has afternoon appointments and cant pick up our daughter. I should reach 500 miles by the end of this month, would like to have enough of a buffer to work with to cover days I dont jog and an expectation that my mileage may dip in the sweltering heat to come down here

On a 2 year streak of 1000+ miles run a year myself. Goal this year is 1400-1500 miles, which is a lot but I've been running for almost 6 years now and training for marathons most of that time. Plus I graduated last May so now I have more time to devote to running as much as I want. 5 days a week used to be too much for me but I'm handling it fine right now. We'll see if I can keep it up and finally PR the marathon distance after getting a 4:16 back in 2017. 4:31 was my last marathon finish time so that would be nuts lol. Running in the rain is fine with me, just gotta wear trail shoes and be careful.
