Wouldn't it be great to have like some sort of a system which scans the fat in your body and destroys it with lasers? You would lose weight in like 30 seconds. And then another machine which flattens your body because you might have some ''over skin'' left. That will take like another 30 minutes. And then you're like skinny within 1 hour. And then you can like, get fat again and enjoy more food. And then repeat the process every year in January, or like when it's summer.

I understood...... absolutely none of that. I am going to take my time figuring it all out whilst making sure I maintain my current weight and then in around a month or so I hope to start working on my fitness and tone.

Protein shakes (now there will be some debate here and elsewhere on sugars exc.) will help you build muscle while cutting calories. So for me today (and this is an off day) I will only consume: 1080 calories 24.5 grams of fat 137.5 calories (100 from wheat pasta, 20 from a slice of wheat bread) 87.5 grams of protein I probably need given exercise I do 2300 of just normal body function and because I workout so much 3000-4000 a day. But I'm trying to get under 9% body fat and while people will debate I'm cutting TOO much, its moving along just fine ![]() So lets just say I am on the low end of exercise 3200 calories if I continue to consume between 1000-1600 my body will be looking for 66% of its caloric requirements elsewhere in my body. I just added 10lbs to my lifting yesterday so I'm still making gains while doing tons of cutting ![]() ![]() |

Protein shakes, workout supplements, fat burners exc. they need to be used as tools not as crutches or magic beans. Also if you do see something and go wow I'll try that make sure you start light and asses tolerance most of these chemicals while harmless when used correctly can be very potent when used with carelessness or disregard (not that you can od on protein shakes lol). |

So, I am coming up on a month since I last worked out due to a hand injury.
Even without exercise, my weight and body fat have maintained. I have slipped a little with some ice cream (always makes a boo-boo feel better, right? ![]() ![]() It just goes to show that when your body gets to a point, it can maintain even with little to no exercise (just walking the dog) and a little slipping with the diet. I am hoping that I can start some cardio in the next 2-3 weeks. I am itching to get moving again. Hope everyone is doing good with their goals. Its been pretty quiet in this thread. |

Hey
I have a question I am trying to find out how many pushups a 19 year old male (me) should be I able to do. I find a lot of different answers, 13 and 14 year olds claim that they can do 50 or even more push ups within a minute. I can do only 40 full push-ups and I've been exercising to do this for months. So 40 full, good push-up straight, without breaks. Is this good/normal? I can hardly believe that the average is 30 or 40. That just can't be right. I am almost sure that the average 19 year old male is unable to do 40 straight push-ups, but maybe I am wrong and underestimating. |
