Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural (1973) coming from Synapse

I watched it a couple months ago on TCM. It was interesting, but definitely a one-time watch for me. I doubt I'll pick up the blu-ray unless it's super cheap.

"Still in production. No release date."

Cool, I recently dumped the DVD along with a number of other Synapse titles, never noticing that this had been announced.

Watched a somewhat battered print of this last year (in a cool double-feature with a fine-looking 16mm print of Let's Scare Jessica to Death). It's was really great to see it on a big screen. The atmosphere holds up well. But apparently it is near impossible to find any film materials in good condition (which supposedly is also the hold up with Synapse's release).

not too bummed, as long as we get the best quality possible. I haven't watched this since I was a kid, looking to see how it holds up 30+ years later. I do remember having nightmares for weeks after watching this.

For the DVD they had access to the OCN, I doubt that has changed.
From their 2004 press release:

I think everything you hated about it is what I loved. A movie this weird isn't for eveybody, but I got to wonder why you would go to a thread of a movie you hate.

Ok it's been almost five years since Synapse announced a Blu-ray restoration and the same for when this thread started. I know Synapse is not saying anything, but is there anyone here who can offer any glimmer of hope?

How about not announcing (or even hinting about) an upcoming release...

until it's near completion and ready to be released within a reasonable amount of time?
