Robert or anyone got any idea when the Sony XBR-85X900H will release? Think thats the TV im gonna roll with unless I can get lucky on a scratch off lotto ticket or something lol. Thanks

If all goes as promised our 1st allocation of 85" X900Hs will ship the week of May 4th so by Friday, May 8th or sooner.

I guess I've come to terms with not being able to get a 4k tv with passive 3D anytime soon, so I'm now keeping an eye on the x900h and am looking forward to more reviews. An OLED would be nice, but prices prevent me from going with one of them -- unless the Vizio models turn out to be good alternatives to Sony's and LG's.

If there's any reliable reviews of x900hs online yet, I hope links will be posted soon.

I’m not a gamer at all so the HDMI 2.1 holds little appeal for me at the moment. I may need the X-Wide filter as I do host many movie nights with friends and we get scattered all over the living room. Plus the room can get pretty bright during the day, and the X950H should handle it better.

Based on your take (and the rtings site) I’ll stay on the lookout for an x950H deal.

Chiming in, I ended up buying the x900H 55" on Sunday and am pretty damn pleased so far. Ended up getting a great deal from a local store too. Next, I need to get a UHD player but that'll be down the road a bit.

Anyone figured out a way to turn off the various motion smoothing effects, etc., for the antenna input? I’ve noticed plenty of things look terrible on regular tv because of this (some shows, sitcoms and some commercials too) — but not local news.

Costco, Best Buy, and other TV sellers have reduced the price of the X900H to $1,169.99 this week, ending 9/13. I expect it is to get rid of stock for the new 2021 TVs to come in.

I have the 65X750H. Is there a major jump in quality, especially picturewise, from 750 to the 900?

I'd say the higher peak brightness and full-array local dimming would make the X900H a nice improvement over the X750H.
