Here are the settings I have found to be the best for my home viewing environment on the Sharp Aquos LC-60LE632U:

The reds on mine were pretty off, right out of the box, even. Not sure if that's how the model is supposed to be or if it's a defect in my particular TV, but these settings have given me the best picture quality that I have ever seen. I used a Spears & Munsil calibration blu-ray which helped a great deal, but I still had to tweak it a lot on my own by using some of the films known to have the best PQ. Popped in The Thin Red Line, played around a bit, popped in How to Train Your Dragon, tweaked just a bit more (it's a very dark film at times), went back to TTRL and everything was pretty close to perfect. I received The Tree of Life for X-Mas and just watched it the other night. I have never seen a better live-action picture on any TV, ever, including my friend's Panasonic Plasma (which was calibrated using literally the same S&M disc that I used). HTTYD, in particular, I viewed on both TVs. I'd give it a 9 on the Panny and a 10+ on my Sharp, and I'm not just saying that because it's mine. It's just that awesome.

Just bought a Sharp AQUOS 80" LED - LC80LE632U. Looking for some good settings if anyone can help.

I've seen lots of different calibrations posted on various message boards but have yet to find what I feel is that sweet spot. Most settings are way to dark for my tastes even though I watch my set in a darkened room with an adequate amount of backlighting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I got an old Sharp LC-26SH12U that I got for free about a year ago in my bedroom. Perfect Size in my small room. 26 inch and 720p. The sounds sucks though so I have it hooked up to my Panasonic stereo.

My settings:

AV Mode: Memory
Brightness: 27
Contrast: 36
Color: 18
Tint: 0
Sharpness: 0
Color Temp: Cool
Back Lighting: 16

I usually watch in a fairly dim to dark room. Have my Sony BDP-S590 connected via HDMI.

Before I list out my settings, I think some explanation is in order as to how I came to these particular settings.

It's pretty well known that the Sharp AQUOS LC-60LE847U & LC-70LE847U have a bizarre issue that while watching some 60Hz content, it seems that motion interpolation is still active. It's subtle but it's there even if you made sure to deactivate both Motion Enhancement and Film Mode (the latter being the actual culprit as it engages the set's motion interpolation feature) on your setting of choice. The only AV Mode to completely disengage motion interpolation is Game.

By fiddling with the settings of my TV, I noticed that even when dealing with 24 Hz content, Game mode seems to move better than any other mode. By "move better" I mean to say that the set is only capable of passing the correct 1080p/24 film cadence in Game mode. Every other AV Mode (including Movie) exhibits the choppy stutter of 2:3 pull-down. Also, Game is the only AV Mode that doesn't add an unwanted A/V Sync Delay (that needs to be defeated with a Receiver or similar external device).

However, when fiddling with the Colors through the filters included on the new Spears & Munsil disk, I noticed that whatever Color Space that Game Mode uses is different from both the Standard and Expanded Color Space selections available in film mode. It's basically a third, unnamed Color Space.

A user over at AVSforum did three separate calibrations for his LC-70LE847U. One of them was for Game AV Mode which can be found here.

Using his settings as a base, I then tweaked my own LC-60LE847U, using Spears & Munsil HD Benchmark 2nd Edition. In this manner I came to the following setting for my TV:

For 3D content, I use those exact settings except for the Backlight. That value I increased to -2. All the other values I replicated exactly for the Game (3D) AV Mode.

EDIT: I made a minute alteration to the brightness and contrast. I bumped the former up 1 notch and bumped the latter up 4 notches.

I love the TV. But I'm still tweaking settings. So these above, aren't final. I'm editing them as I go. I'm trying a new setting adjustment right now, and I'll report back in a couple days.

Okay. I use an XBoxOne to play blu's, and after reading through some of the "Spears & Munsil BluRay Test Disc" thread with one of the creators of the Spears & Munsil disc, I found out he worked on the XBoxOne. He mentioned a couple settings that I changed on my XBoxOne, namely changing from "PC" colorspace to "TV" and going to a "24-bit" color scheme, I have updated this post with my new settings, which give some great color, and keep the blacks at a level that are not crushed, but detailed and easy to enjoy. Below are the updated settings, for my Sharp TV, used in a bright room.

I can't seem to find picture settings for this specific Sharp Aquos model anywhere. I only find similar model numbers, but I want to be sure that the custom picture settings for those models would still work fine on mine.

So could someone please help me out? I need optimum picture settings for both movie and game modes.

I use my Sony Multi-Channel AV Receiver (STR-DH540) for both my 5.1 Surround and HDMI hub/switch box. My PS3, PS4, Xbox360, Xbox One (which has my DVR Cable Box connected to it) is connected to the receiver which then connects to my Sharp TV through the HDMI Out.

I'm not sure if any of that info makes a difference, but I just wanted to be as thorough as possible.
